Can't reccomend enough. Felt like a korean home stay and was very welcoming. The owner was nice enough to cook two traditional korean meals for the guests including a full korean bbq for Xmas day. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in gwangju!
Ok, the owner was extremely helpful and nice. He helped me a lot, and every time I saw him he was giving someone advice or directions. However, the place I arrived to did not meet what was advertised. The listing says linens included. It did NOT mention that did not mean sheets. The only linens offered were a nonwashed comforter & mattress pad. NO sheets. Also a safe neighborhood but only 3 lockers for the entire hostel & neighbors kept coming and going and sleeping on the couch. Flophouse.
I had a great time here. It's a comfortable place with everything I needed, and the owner is friendly and helpful. The biggest disadvantage is that it is not in the most convenient location, but at least the bus which runs to Gwangcheon bus terminal (which has buses to all over the city and province) is frequent.
Very clean hostel in a convenient location to the bus station and the subway. The owner was very friendly; breakfast was good. Could have used another bathroom, but a good place overall.
Definitely not a bad place for the single traveler to stay. It really didn't pay off for us as a couple but we certainly enjoyed the hospitality.
