Staffs were good and helpful. Location is far from subway station and train station. Room is OK but shared bathroom is out of dormitory building.

The 6 bed female dorm was very clean and provided linens. The room was very cold at night, but that's true all over Southern China during the winter. Warm showers, nice lounge with wifi. The subway stop was very inconvenient, but there's a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the front door. Overall, a really nice place.

I personally thought this hostel was great. However, my husband, who feels the cold intensely, was totally unprepared for its being unheated during the day. It's probably not ideal for some people in the winter. We have no reservations however about the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff or any other aspects. It has an excellent reception area and common room. We especially appreciated the reception staff booking us a taxi for 5.00 a.m.

This hostel was not too bad, it is about 20mins walk to the Metro and was in a nice area near Nanjing University. Staff were efficient yet not as friendly as they could have been. Even though I would recommend staying here, the twin room we had had VERY poor heating and this is unacceptable in the middle of Winter.

the hostel was ok! There is just a little problem with the bathrooms...t if you want to have a shower you have to pass trough the garden and there is no door in the bathroom building...so with 0 degrees is not that funny! and also the inside bathroom is really cold with just cold water! apart from that clean and nice

The hostel is located in a center area where you can access to the attraction places very quick ! Jasmin is a western old house which still keeping the atmosphere of the old time ! A bit about the self services facilities e.g. the cooking kitchen : it could be fantastic if we can cook atleast an instance noodle or even make a coffee without "scanning" from receptionist name Nikki! In opposite, Chou is very nice and kind girl!

Not really worth of the high price they charge IMO. The door on my dorm didn't even lock properly (it looked like it did until you pushed on it & it opened without the key-card), there wasn't heating in the common area, and the menu was incredibly limited. Still, it wasn't a bad place. The staff were lovely. Not enough to be worth Y55 though.

Only internet in the lobby, which was open was cold, literally It's hard to find the hostel because there are many alley ways on that street, and if you're not sure where it is, the shopkeepers don't know where it is. The store right next to one of the alleys that lead to the hostel didn't even know it was back there!. Security was a little lax. There was no way you couldn't keep someone out of the complex. Did have RFID security cards, so that was nice. Heat was good as well. Not best 1.

the overall experience was ok, not more. the security system seemed above average (with hotel-like card) until i found out that the doors could be opened without the card... fun factor was relatively poor as there was no heating in the common relax area and it really did get cold once the sun was down. location is good though.

A very friendly hostel in the University area of Nanjing, but be warned, they are in the middle of renovations so it is a bit messy at the moment. Should be great when finished I paid 100rmb for a single room with double bed but no toilet/shower, which was located just across the hall. The room was clean with good bedding. The hostel is in an older style two level rambling house Front of house staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English, hostel has small lounge/garden/restaurant /bar

Under normal circumstances, this hostel is fine. However, there were renovations going on when I was there and it was a mess: smelled like paint and other chemicals, noisy all day because of the machinery, construction stuff everywhere, some of the toilets were shut down for repairs. Also, they said that I could check in early after a long night on a sleeper train, but when I arrived they said there were no beds, when there was (I found out later), but they made me rest in their cafe for 2 hrs!

Lovely staff which became like friends. Very clean but remodelling made the surroundings a bit of a mess. Make sure its done before you book. Comfy sofas in the lounge/bar. Cheap drinks. If you have allergies be aware that they have a dog and a cat, both very lovely though. Restaurants nearby were not too good, but street food is excellent. I dined like a king for 20 RMB a day. Overall great.

The hostel is well located near a metro station and next to a bus station, so you can move easy to the different parts of the city. Also there's some goo restaurants around the place. Tha staff is friendly and the rooms are ok. I recommend this place if you wanna come to nanjing.

The hostel was still under constructions, so the workmen were working every morning at 7 am ( with big noise) !! The rooms were ok, except for the dust (from the constructions). Unfortunately there was only one toilet, so most of the time there was no toilet paper! The staff were helpful, they have maps with all the main attractions on it, so if you ask for one they will give it to you. Taxi from Nanjing South Railway station (the new one) is 40kuai and not 17kuai... so better take the subway!

its in a good location and staff are great, but its being renovated and im sure it will be great when its done and id recomend staying there after but during the renovations it isnt the best place to stay. just construction debree in the hallways and noise from 6am to 6pm, but when the work is done im sure it will be a great place to stay. cool dog, and cool staff. also you will need mosquito repellant alot around and in the rooms. id stay again, but in 6months when all the work is done.

This hostel was the worst we stayed in in China (although it was also the cheapest). It was incredibly damp and buggy, and the staff were very unsympathetic. It was about a 15min fast walk to the subway, and even though there was a sign for bicycle rental, there wasn't actually a rental available. It was close to Nanjing University, though, and to a smoky and not very exciting bar.

This was my first time staying in a hostel in China and I have nothing but good memories from staying here. I am somewhat of a clean freak so I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the showers and bathrooms were. The staff were also amazingly helpful and quickly answered any questions I had.
