We had an ok stay at Jasmine hostel. The room (double room shared bathroom) was very basic, way below the standard of rooms we'd got used to in other hostels in China for a similar price. The staff was at times uninterested and unhelpful. The outside courtyard is a nice place to sit in and laundry is free which is great. The location is good.

It was really nice and quaint, the staff was really nice, the lounges were comfy. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the heater, though, so it was a little cold.

It was nice. Good environment and staff. I just have three thoughts. First, it kind of bothered me that the cleaning ladies occupied the bathrooms from 7-9am when they are in highest demand. They couldn't do that later in the day when everybody isn't getting ready? The shower situation is a bit ridiculous for such a cold location. Lastly, I like the wooden environment, but they need to put some carpet on the stairs because asking people to walk lightly isn't going to work.

I was there for one night and it was ok. I needed only a place to rest and sleep and for that it was good, though in the morning the staff started to clean very early (at least sounded like that and around 7 am) which was a bit anoying. Would go there again if I'd need a place for one night in Nanjin!

Very nice hostel. The common area and garden are great places to hang around. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Fascilities good and showers nice and hot. My only complaint, as with most hostels in China, is that they seem to be cleaning all the time. Wherever you sit someone with a mop needs to get around you! A good complaint to have, I guess.

between the Jasmine and Nanjing Time (2 top-rated hostels in nanjing), the jasmine is 5rmb cheaper for the bunk-beds but the Time offers a YHA discount and accepts Union Pay (china only) cards. jasmine has a university in the vicinity, whilst the Time has a run-of the mill supermarket. jasmine has a really good regular restaurant down the alleyway, with the Time a super cheap wanton joint next door. Time has nice clean ensuite toilets in the dorms with a warm cozy lounge during winter. 45:55

This is a good place in a great location. The general atmosphere was a bit cold when I was staying there, with fellow travelers hanging around in the common room without much interaction.

I was here during winter and they had no heating. Absolutely terrible service, was a waste of two days

Restrooms and Shower Facilities are in a very bad condition. No light and no toilet paper in the Restroom next to the dorms and the showers are pretty unconvenient as you have to go outside (ok in summer but not in winter) But apart from that the hostel has a lovely atmosphere and the stuff is really helpful.

Great place to stay and I recommend you try some of the food they make there too, only little gripe is there's no heating in the rooms and the shower is outside which at the moment with it being winter meant running through the snow to the showers, but thats not really a big thing to get wound up about! All in all a good place to stay!

Great location, very close to Nanjing Normal University and good bars and resteraunts. Only complaint is that the heat is a bit weak, and the showers were in a separate building from the rooms.

My stay at Jasmine was too shortI I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, helping me to book taxis to the airport and suggesting some great near-by restaurants to eat at. While it was a little difficult to find at first, one quick phone call and they were able to very clearly tell me how to find it from the near-by bus stop. I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a great, inexpensive, fun, and comfortable place to stay in Nanjing.
