Yamo-san is a great host. His hostel is the perfect place to stay after a late flight into Narita or a place to sleep before an early flight out the next morning. He is helpful and full of information for travel to other regions in Japan.

I was only passing through Narita, as I had a flight to catch the following day, but really enjoyed my stay! Yama was incredibly helpful, picking me up fro the ariport and dropping me off again the following day, and making a lot of recommendation for things to do and places to visit when I arrived at my destination. It was cool (and very comfortable) to sleep on traditional futons and tatami mats, and Yama let me use one of his bikes to explore the very pretty surroundings.

It's out in farm country. You take a bus to a stop in the middle of nowhere, then walk in the dark for ten minutes. There's nothing nearby. The last guest had stayed there six days before me. There's a common room with a TV. Free toast for breakfast. You have to walk outside to reach your room. No luggage lockers. Shower is in the main building. Owner is quiet, not amiable. No heat at night. Bean pillow. Free airport drop off in the morning. Stay only for very early flights out of Narita.

The hostel is very well located if you are going or you are coming to take a flight in Narita Airport. Yama San is an interesting and special person, more sincere than the common Japanese people, who is always ready to pick you up from or to the airport in a few minutes. It's a very cheap place and it's isolated but relaxing.
