The Nathan's Villa Hostel Krakow is OK for the money. The ambience is good, and the staff was very nice. It is very close to the main square of Krakow, and they have organized trips. The breakfast snack is nice, so you do not leave with empty stomach. The bedclothes were too small for the bed, which was not very confortable. Also, they do not look too clean, but it was passable. Some problems with electricity in the corridors, but they did what they could with candles. It is nice.

Just Amazing! We had a great time in Krakow on Nathans Villa. We spent new years eve there and a few more days we ended loving the place and the staff, everybody was really cool and friendly, even with hangovers. Thank you guys!

Wi-fi did not work on Mac´s. If i had known that before I booked, I would have chosen another hostel, since we depended on being online for work during our stay.

The place was very nice and very cheap for everything they provided. The bar was fun and the staff were helpful when planning activities. The place had a good atmosphere as well. However, one of the staff actually stole my friend's watch after he set it down for just a minute. My friend asked him if he had seen where it went but the staff said no. The next day we spotted him wearing the watch. Not cool.

This is the worst hostel I have EVER been to. Our door had previously been kicked in, and was only replaced with partical board. I have stayed at a few hostels around Europe, and I have never felt so unsafe. I did not sleep during the night because I was afraid someone was going to break into our room. Not only that, but the room was not clean. The last guest's towels were still hanging in the bathroom. I slept with a sheet over the bed and did not use the covers.

I had a single room which was poor value for money - could have had a much nicer room in a hotel for the same price. Others in my group had a dorm which I believe was much better. My room was falling apart. Staff were generally nice and very helpful. Hostel bar was fun and open late. Location is central and plenty of good bars and restaurants within walking distance - I recommend Propaganda.

The Hostel seemed to be run not by the staff working there but by the staff's friends who hung around there. 2 random people let themselves into our room, (they had gotten a room key from rection) while we were sleeping and as we woke up we saw them in our room to our shock. This made us very nervous about leaving our belongings on our room after this. The communial bathroom outside our room smelt very bad and was like this the entire time, it was almost as if there was a sewerage problem!

A well located hostel with extremely friendly and helpful staff

Probably shouldnt let staff watch on as people smoke bongs in the middle of the kitchen. Its almost like they had won all of these awards, became comfortable and completely let the hostel fall apart around them. The bedding and kitchen were both pretty digraceful, Other than that and the general disorganisation of the hostel I had a pretty good time with the people there playing frizbee on the street and such.

Not impressed at all with the hostel. Most of the staff (with a couple of exceptions) too pissed / stoned to help. Cleanliness in bathrooms was just about ok, but the general floors were filthy and the kitchen was disgusting (and I've lived as a student!). On the plus side, very secure entrance to dorms and lockers, excellent location, and pretty cheap. If I return to Krakow however I will be looking for somewhere else to stay.

They check in guests at anytime. I went to bed at mid night. Woken up at 12.30, 1am, and 3am, as more guests were checked in.

Owner Comment (Show)
I'm sorry it turn out like this, but since you booked 10-bedded dorm you should be aware of a possibility people walkin in and out of the room (it's quite normal...). Also it's true we check in people sometimes at night (and we really try to do it quietly) -night trains, late planes, and long delays - it happens and we always thought it's our adventage that we have a 24h reception. Sorry that you have such a bad time at our place, but I sill think that 20% was a bit too harsh after one night in the hostel. Maria

Good fun place to stay in Krakow. Located between the old city and Jewish Quarter, it has a good bar and was a good place to meet people. It was pretty clean, but not the best place i have seen

Well this hostel has a bar in it and a pool table so you don't even have to leave to be sociable. The staff are a little aloof but otherwise fine and friendly and the room was comfortable with a beautiful view. Good shower too. Found it slighhtly hard to find but then again I'm a novice nomad! Thanks guys, I really like the Nathan's Villa chain, it is excellent
