Benny, the owner, was super helpful in arranging activities. The place has a small, homey feel so hit or miss as to whether you will meet other travelers. Very comfortable beds!

Great location with a friendly staff. The only issue we had was a lack of parking and there is only 1 bathroom/shower for over 10 people.

Having stayed in other hostels this one was very disappointing. The facility was dirty, especially the bathroom and kitchen, and we had no security for our items. The lockers were broken and they did not provide us with keys to our room. Smoking was a constant irritation. We did not feel secure or comfortable during our stay. Unfortunatley, It did not feel as though the staff had the best interests of their clients in mind.

We booked the Nativa Hostel and was placed in a different hostel (same ower but very Diderot from the pictures). We booked an ensuite and did not get that. The bathroom had mold on the floor, and was not very clean. There was no AC and no fans in the room so it got hot a lot. No safes in the rooms or lockers. There was a buzzer to get in but once Night some guests could not get in so they tried to climb into my room. Fortunately my room widow was locked, but they came in through the next room.

Although the staff was really nice and helpful, there are a few weird things happening...you reserve nights at one hostel (the Nativa hostel) and you end up in another one...(the house of colors hostels). Then, if you need to let you luggage a couple of hours the last day after checking out, they would charge you 1500 pesos and 1000 pesos for an extra shower. Never happened to me in another hostel before...

The best hostel i have stayed in!! What a great host. Thank you Benny and Lucian...and of course Cochinon (the dog) for an absolutely fabulous stay. Dont be deceived by the small, rugged look. Benny will be able to tell you everything about the town and also runs a tour agency, so can offer you activities at discounted rates if you stay there. 100% all round! Happy traveller! Definitely recommended!
