Great place. Room and shared areas were very clean Mattresses nice and soft :) Friendly staff Good facilities(wi-fi, washing, basic cheap food) Location is a bit away from the action - 30minute walk to French Quarter, or 10 minute, 50 rupee ride in an Auto

Really basic rooms, but really cheap. So really good value for the price. Also alot of indian students and interns living there, so a good opportunity if you'd like to get in touch with locals. Its a bit off the city center, but there are minibusses (basically big rickshaw) every 5 minutes or so at the mainstreet close by or so that take you there in 5min for 5 rupees. The owner is a very nice guy.
Cleanliness: Mouldy bed sheets and pillows, rooms smelt heavily of egg and urine, shower smelt even worse. Security: Poor. No external windows. The bathroom window opened directly into the bathroom of the hotel next door. The corridor and building resembled a prison and the guests seemed to be more local (unfriendly) residents rather than travellers. We felt as though we were expected to spend time in the hostel and take part in conversational practice lessons with the local students. Unhappy.
