Booked a twin room, but on arrival was told not available so they had put us in a double. This was not acceptable to us, so after a bit of bartering we got two rooms for the same price as a twin. In the morning the receptionist tried to charge us for a 2 double rooms, but after discussion with the manager he apologised and we got the agreed rate. Shower in one pf rooms was cold though.

The hotel is really very nice! It has a rooftop terrace from which you can see Luxor Temple, the Avenue of the Sphinx and the Nile. The hotel can also organize a guide for you to the west bank and to Karnak temple (this really avoids a lot of hassle at these sights!). The guide is a studied egyptologist - very good to get more in depth knowledge of what you are seeing. Only downside is that he takes you to an alabaster factory (but its easy to get out there without buying something).
stayed in this during 2 periods: 3 nights and then an extra one with a day in the middle. the 1th stay was very pleasant, the room was small but confortable and clean. the 2nd stay, the room was as small and clean, however the bathroom. The problem, however, was not the size. it flooded completely everytime you took a shower. Another thing you should be careful is that they tried to make money in the exchage rates you paid in euros from the room to egp. also charged a 22% taxes in restaurant...
We couldn't be happier or more satisfied with our stay at the Nefertiti. The memory of our breakfasts with the view over the Nile River toward the Valley of the Kings area will stay with us forever. Also worthy of comment is the Aladin Tour section of the hotel. The tours are very good value for money and our tour guide Hassan Ashour was fantastic, his knowledge of Egyptian history and command of English excellent we learnt so much! Thankyou Nefertiti staff.
A very good place to stay. The staff is very symphatic and efficient. THe rooftop is the coziest ever. ROoms aren't big, but comfortable and with air conditioner. It couldn't be in a better location: in front of Luxor Temple! THe breakfast is really really good, with omelets, fruits, yogurt etc. The bathroom is not that good, because there isn't any separation for oshower. I strongly recommend it.
Great value for money. Perfect situation with the Luxor temple just across the road and a view of the Valley of the Kings from the terrace.
Excellent value for money, clean, convenient and great location (at walking distance from the Nile and opposite Luxor temple). You can also get plenty of tours organised from the hotel including guides and transport which is really handy. The staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful, they managed to book a day trip to Cairo with a guide just for myself within a few days notice at a reasonable price, for that and all the experience I'm deeply grateful, thanks guys.
Nefertiti hotel is a really wonderful place to stay. The hotel is clean, staff is very pleasant and helpful. Everyone feels there like at home. They are cleaning the rooms every day and the meal in the restaurant is very good. Breakfast is included and we enjoyed it very much as well as evening tea on the terrace with charming view on the Luxor temple. We spent most of the days sightseeing and even six days were not enough to see everything in this part of Egypt.

Amazing staff, rooftop terrace has great views of the Nile and Luxor temple. One of the best places I've stayed anywhere in the world in terms of value for money. You will not be disappointed. :)
Nice hotel. with a very good breakfast and nice staff. Is close the the Luxor temple, in the hotel the staff will help you to get around.
The towel animals in my room each day were awesome! Thanks for the great stay in Luxor! Oh but I wouldnt use the Hotel in Aswan that was part of the tour I booked through you guys....that place was a total dive, I think it was called Ramesses.
Very nice place to stay! I loved! Good Location, Good Food, and the staff it's very friendly!! They have a Tour Operator (Alladin) inside the hostel, and they offer very good deals to know Luxor! Also they arranged some tours in Aswan for us. Very good People! I recommend this place!!
They really messed up our reservation, as they were over booked the first night and had to place us in another hotel (that was really fine, but it forced us to pack and unpack an extra time which was a drag). In addition to this, they also thought that we should check out a day before our reservation ended, and we had to prove to them that our reservation was for four nights. Apart from this, it was a great stay in a nice place.

This was the best value hotel during my 2 week stay in Egypt. Great location, awesome buffet breakfast. A few notes: - we booked a double room, but on arrival, we were told there is only twin room available. When we showed the booking of a double room, we got a double room immediately. - bed linen was not changed, it was full of hair of previous guests. This was quickly resolved when I mentioned. - on settlement, I didn't have enough EGP. I was offered to settle in USD with a bad rate (...)
Their staff was really really good guys and will provide a lot fo help for travelers. When i stayed in the hotel i have a family feeling.Luxor first choice!!!!

Really well located and great value hotel (nice hotel at hostel prices) with awesome roof terrace and friendly and helpful manager. Hard to judge atmosphere as everything is so dead in Egypt right now, so not many people around and therefore not really much atmosphere. Tours seemed overpriced compared to everywhere else, but given the positive comments about the guides maybe worthwhile if you take a guide, not for just having a driver. Appreciate that there was no pressure to take the tours.
Great location, but a bit difficult to find at first -- sign is below Al Sahaby restaurant. Hot water good. Solid breakfast buffet. Staff esp Muhammad very helpful. Attached restaurant serves good food. Price not low but OK. No lift so a fair bit of walking as breakfast is on top floor. Wifi not stable.
Can hardly say anything wrong about that place and its people. The staff gave lot of advice and information on things to do both in Luxor and also in Cairo. Arranged some of the tours etc. May be a tad bit pricy, but didn't really care because there was the security that it was arranged by the hotel.
We had a great time at Nefertiti! The staff was very friendly and helpful and both the cafe in front of the hotel and the rooftop area were great places to hang out and unwind after a long day of touring. The guys working on the rooftop always had fun word puzzles and brain teasers for us. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we really enjoying the fun towel art left for us after a day of sightseeing. Only minor "complaint" is that WiFi was not available in the room (only public areas).
The hotel is truly amazing! The staff are what make it such a completely enjoyable place to stay. Everyone from the cleaning lady to the owner were so friendly and warm. The rooms are immaculate, the restaurant serves great food, the tours they organise for you are exceptional. This place has so much character. Loved it! Loved it! Don't organise any of your own tours before talking to Mohammed, and Mansour the guide is a fountain of knowledge.
