One of my best experiencies hostelling around the world! I stayed 8 nights (4 in private rooms and 4 in shared dorms) and felt at home from the beginning. Staff is very friendly, efficient and approachable. They also give me useful tips which i follow and helped me take the most of my vacation at the island. No kitchen for guests but home made dinner is personelly prepared by the owners almost every night, being an excellent opportunity ti get together with other guests and staff.

very nice place, well situated in old town, rooms with fans are cool even when its hot outside, nice that they have a light and plug on each bed. good breakfast, people are nice. came back here a 2nd time already, and would stay again whenever back in salvador

Unique hostel, very homely and comfy. I had a longer stay, so it all did become very family like! Very friendly staff that looks after you, even the taxi driver is a part of the "family". Basic accommodations, not the newest, made more unique by its conscientious messages and people. other +s: 2 computers, AC in bedroom, full breakfast (sometimes /donuts/french toast!), location- near Forte Santo Antonio (if you do Capoiera), groceries, Pelourinho, Plaza Geronimo (for Tuesday concerts).

Located in Pelurinho (historical center). Super friendly staff. Great vibe, happy hour, awesome caipirinha. Clean toilets despite being full-house. Has all the little things travelers appreciate--bedside socket, lamp, &safe valuables. I was there during the Carnaval2012. Brazil Carnaval could be complicated for first timers (camarote? blocs? etc) but they would decode it for you. It's a brilliant place to be in anytime, but especially during carnaval.

Nice hostel with a good/friendly atmosphere created by Inbal and Gustavo. Unfortunately the barman seemed to take a real dislike to me and my partner, to such an extent that we didn't even want to order drinks because of the hostile vibe we got from him. A fresh lick of paint in the green room wouldn't go astray either but apart from those 2 small issues I would definitely recommend this hostile!

We loved this hostel. Even though we were there during a dangerous police strike, the hostel provided everything and more to give us a good time. Their bar is cheap and top notch, breakfast is full and filling, and owner is a riot. Inbal is the man; no filter, pure genius. Thank you for making our time in Salvador a memorable one!! Highly recommended!

Stayed in private room. Very clean and really nice place to chill out on the balcony and meet other travellers. located pretty well, just a 5 minute walk to Pelourinho which is really the main tourist attraction of Salvador. make sure you´re there on a tuesday night, great live music, street festivals and drums all through the town!
