Negrita Hostel Reviews

A bit far away from punter del este. But the staff is really nice and the area (La Barra) had great restaurants and stores.

We had a wonderful time at La Negrita. It's a small hostel with only a few rooms which makes it feel like you're hanging out with friends when you're there. The brothers that own the hostel were simply amazing. Helped us to plan our trip along the coast of Uruguay, phoned people, printed maps etc. Muy buena onda =) Furthermore it's not far from the beach, bars and a supermarket. A bus takes you there from the bus station in punta del este in 20 minutes. Go there, you won't regret it ;)

The staff here were extremely helpful with looking up information for me without any prompting needed. It's a very laid back atmosphere, but was really vacant at the time I went due to it no longer being high season. The dorms were very basic...concrete floor, no lockers, a little buggy. Breakfast was included but was only toasted bread and coffe/ tea.

Great atmosphere in this hostel and its bar. The crew is incredible, relaxed and very motivated to make this new hostel work and always ready to help out. They really take care of their guests. One of my best hostel experiences so far!

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly at this hostel- They could not do enough for you which was fantastic. The location is brilliant- A 2 minute walk to La Barra beach which is definitely the best part of Punta del Este. The bar was a good added bonus to this hostel and it was a very enjoyable stay.

Great hostel, amazing location in la barra which is the best place to stay in punta de este by far! Better beaches, better clubs, better people! So much fun and the staff is incredible, they help you with anything and everything you need! Great party hostel with an amazing atmosphere! Would love to return.
