the best thing about this hostel was that i got my own dorm room as they were not that busy the night i stayed

A small hostel with a homely feel. A few people there when I was there which was good, as I had a room right next to the reception and oppostie the kitchen and lounge and it would have been hard to sleep if there had been more people there. Nice next to sit outside but could have done with a TV in the lounge and internet was not working when I was there so a bit dissapointed. Staff were nice but reception not manned all the time during the day. Room clean and tidy but in need of some decoration

good place to stay at if you dont bother with the owner, very unstable person... the best kitchen ever... clean and tidy facilities...

Nice hostel!very cosy atmosphere you feel like to be in your house!!!and it's very close to the beach! only problem it's far away from the supermarket so take your food before, but you can hire a bike for free to go there! :)

I really liked the hostel since it was cosy and had good facilities, but I didn't really feel welcome at all the way the staff treated me. Having an empty reception made it feel like one was bothering them every time one needed help with anything and it didn't feel like they enjoyed trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Too bad, because the hostel itself has a good character

A lovely older style place to stay. We really enjoyed our week here and the closeness to Tahuna beach was awesome. Would definately recommend to others :)

I have never been told off for talking in a kitchen before and watched other guests told off for putting on a dishwasher! Made to get cash only no eftpos yet booked online ceiling damp patches in room and dry rot around Windows couldn't shut them no towels and no tv. Could have been a lovely experience kitchen and lounge were lovely.

Room smelt a bit damp, I know all hostels smell a bit but this was beyond 'part of the charm'. Asked quite aggressively to leave the premises at 10.01am when we had already checked out and were on our way out anyway. Staff seem quite surly, not the ideal job for people with no people skills.

We stayed there for a week over christmas . I was great. The place is very cute and feels very homy. The facilities are very clean and the owers very friendly and helpful. The beach is only 10 min walk away. Will definitely recommend it.
