Neptunes Town Hostel Reviews

We only stayed one night so we didn't experience much of the hostel. Breakfast only had white bread which I didn't enjoy but its free so I can't really complain. Showers didn't look that great but I didnt use them. Location is great and staff were really friendly. They have free internet which was great but wifi only works downstairs not in the rooms. Bed was comfy!

We really liked the location of this hostel but the kitchen was dirty, and we found 3 insects on the bed! Budget accomadation or not, there should never be bugs in your room.

The staff were all wonderful, greeted me like a friend when I saw them outside the hostel. I have already recommended two friends stay there. When I return to Killarney, I will stay at Neptune.

Very friendly and helpful staff in a very convenient location in Killarney close to the Killarney National Park.

Thank you to the member of staff who diffused the situation when a drunk decided to 'crash' in our room. She handled the mini crisis very well.

I really liked this hostel: great atmosphere, fun friendly staff, showers that worked, 2 minute walk from the nightlife. My only complaint was the security at night. Our friends would walk us back and the security would literally stand there staring at us until they left, and then you had to show your security paper to get in (if you lose this, btw, find a park bench). I felt like a 12 year old child on a field trip. Get a front door with a slot for hostel cards, like every other hostel!

A nice big hostel with good facilites and close to everything you need in Killarney. Great price too.

Bins in the girls's toilets on the 2nd floor would be appreciable :)

Really the best hostels of all in Ireland the staff is so friendly it is really amazing. We had a twin bed booked and we had space and the beds were better than expected from a hostel (I had others in Ireland for a slightly higher price). The location is really good too because you are in the centrum of the town besides the cathedrale and you can reach everything by foot (National Park, Pubs, Supermarket). I can only recommend Neptunes.

Neptune's town hostel was great - the rooms were clean and the showers were hot. There weren't enough plugs to go around, though, and the rooms were kept a little chilly. The staff was friendly and attentive, but it didn't feel very "inviting" in the common areas.

A very friendly and well run hostel smack bang in the middle of town. Knowledgeable staff and clean comfy rooms. I would highly recommend this hostel to others looking for central location.

Clean and comfortable but a little too noisy.

Great spot. Cool atmosphere. Yards away from the best pubs and restaurants. Free internet is a great facility to have when travelling on a budget. Breakfast DIY is a great idea. Would recommend it. One small criticism: on cold nights, turn on the heating.
