Although I hear the area of town is more notorious for pickpocketing, etc, it was cool to be near the big market and we never felt unsafe. We stayed in two different rooms; both were very nice but both had the smell of mildew. Not very noisy but the walls are very thin so be aware. Quite a simple breakfast of coffee and bread. We enjoyed our stay but for the price you may be able to find someplace a little nicer.

This hostel gave us a nice and quiet place to stay on our first night back from hiking the Inca trail. We had a very clean room with a shared bathroom. The hostel is on a quiet street across from the San Pedro Market. The breakfast was limited (sweet rolls and cereal) but good. The staff was friendly but leaves at 9 or 10pm. The hostel doesn't have much character but it's nice and felt safe. I did not see any other guests so it was a quiet stay.

Place was OK, there was too much security (rare). Not atmosphere, we were by our own. From 10 pm to 00;00 there was no people on the Front Desk, so you are by your own risk. The staff was kind, poor breakfast (bread and coffee). In our bathroom a window was missing, so it was freezing cold all knight long. It was clean so far. The place is near the Mercado de San Pedro, near the San Francisco Plaza.

Breakfast was not great - I have had more complete breakfasts at a youth hostel and this is a B&B. Travel agency services were hit or miss. The airport transfers were fine, but there were challenges when working with partners outside of Cusco in Machu Picchu. For example, in MP, my guide did not show up, causing me to get up to MP late and miss sunrise. On the way back, my driver was 40 minutes late picking me up in Ollantaytambo to go back to Cusco. Poor communication from staff and partners.

Great hostel, really helpful and accommodating staff

Great hostel in a quiet location - perfect when you're experiencing the joy of altitude sickness! In all seriousness, this was a great hostel and the staff were really helpful to us. Highly recommended.

Could not have had a better experience. Rooms have heaters with plenty of blankets. Warm showers. We told staff we were leaving early for the inca trail and so they kept our luggage, and left our breakfast out so we wouldn't miss it. Location right in the historical centre next to the San pedro markets. Wifi can be slow.
