Good, quiet, clean and comfortable, would stay here again if in the area

Friendly and helpful hostel-style accommodation in pretty village with local walking & sights. Recommended.

The bed literally felt like concrete, haha and the shower just stopped half way through my shower. Not even a lack of hot water just a lack of water. The dorm kitchen was so tiny. And I believe there was only 4 or 5 people under the age of 50. The owners were really nice! But I think they took more care are about the bed and breakfast half of the place vs the hostel. The Lake District was beautiful though :)

Excellent Service. Cute and Clean hostel. Great alternative to living within lake district as long as you are travelling by car

Thank you very much for a great couple of days.

Very very friendly and cosy place , the New Ing Lodge , is well worth the Money . Clean Rooms , comfy Beds , I did not had Time to have some Dinner there but the Breakfast was lovely. I can recommend this to any Type of Travellers , if you travel alone you there is a lovely Lunch with a Fire where everyone meets at evening. I very sure to come back to the New Ing Lodge , thanks to the nice staff .

We booked this hostel the night before on the spur of the moment. Seven of us in one dorm. What a delightful place . A memorable walk up nearby Mardale hill from Grasmere. Great food in the local pub in a very uncommercialised town well away from the crowds of more obvious locations in the lakes. A well stocked log fire in the large living area was lovely to sit round at the evening.

Scott went out of his way to make us comfortable after arriving v.late with wet clothes and blistered feet. He cooked a basic but nutritious meal at 10pm. Excetional all round!
