You get what you paid for ;) and I was quite surprised that it wasn't to noisy, to be located directly next to the outgoing street!
the ONLY problem is that there is no wifi, you can get it only in the restaurant, and only until 11pm, it's ok just to sit there without ordering anything and just using the net, that's what i did and i REGRET IT SO MUCH! they've got one of the best chefs in bangkok, and their food is cheap and delicious! it's very quiet at night, that's what you need most, you'd be away for the whole day but really need a good place to sleep., super comfortable beds, even in the cheapest rooms
A good budget hostel, very close to Khao San without the noise. Would have been better if there had been wifi in the rooms.
Location was okay for walking, but the music from Kao San road made it difficult to sleep without ear plugs. The look of the outside restaurant was great. Staff in both the hotel and restaurant seemed to be worn out by backpackers. I received some passive aggressiveness despite remaining very polite every time. The rooms were okay, no hot showers though which is a minus during non-hot season. We only had one electricity plug, which was a big problem as we had 4 devices that needed charging daily
Great place to stay if you want to be near Khao San. No wifi in the rooms, only downstairs in the restaurant area. Staff weren't rude, but not particularly helpful either. I was there during the "Bangkok Shutdown," and when I tried to ask for advice on the best/safest way to get to the airport the next morning, instead of giving me advice, they seemed to only care about making sure I'd buy breakfast in their (overpriced) restaurant before leaving.
Next to Khao San road. Near Democracy Monument and Royal Palace quarter. No hot water, no wifi at the dim room. Use internet at canteen where you donate blood to hungry mosquitoes.
Good valeur for money, just near the party but not noisy. The room was correct but just simple without decoration. Just 2 beds and a small bathroom but good place to stay 1 or 2 nights!!
Keep coming back here. Great location to Koh San and Grand Palace and Wat Pho but quiet enough to sleep alright. Great value, yeah you can get cheaper nearby but to save less than £1/$1! Food amazing in the restaurant, staff all happy and always the same staff faces when I return each time. Wifi in restaurant. Renovations currently to give the place a spruce up. I'll keep returning. Good for solo travellers, families, couples (anyone ). Cheers!
The hostel needs major renovations. The rooms are dreary and depressing. Though they might be clean, they give you the distinct impression that they're not. Also, the lockers provided are all broken. Security is not the best. I wouldn't stay here again, especially when there are so many better places at a similar price.
Despite being very basic (and I mean that) the hostel is very good value for money, mainly for its location and price for an ensuite double room. The hostel is literally 5 mins walk from busy Khao San Road but as it's in a tiny alleyway next to 7/11 it is still fairly quiet at night, in spite of a few pricks who kept slamming doors. Also, I felt it was very secure (don't be put off by the dark tiny road, though) and you can leave valuables in lockers literally by reception.
good value for the area if you like khao san road. staff were not nice at all. But the room was big enough and comes with a small balcony
