This is a lovely hostel but I will recommend people to stay there for a long time than a short time. Most of the people are here for a long period of time so I felt like a stranger. The good point, BB and dinner included in the price so I saved money! The bad point, it was hard to find a clean shower/toilet. On the whole, it was a nice stay

Not a typical hostel, there are a lot of people who are no tourists/travellers but stay long term for working in London. Good price value with breakfast and dinner included. Old facilities, but cleanliness was good.

The rooms of the hostel are old and unclean (old fitted carpet). The breakfast is ok (toast with jam and several cereals) and on saturday it was good (warm buffet added: bacon, eggs, tomato and beans in tomato sauce). The location is nice, staff is friendly. Overall worth the money, dont expect a mercedes if you pay for a lada ;)

I just arrived very late night. And my phone was dead, so i don't have any way to contact with staff. However someone waited me at the front (i send an e-mail before departure). And he walcomed and kindly guided about the hostel. Also, i was in trouble with no adapter for my 220V charger, he borrowed me an adapter. The people in the hostel are completely nice. Unfortunately, the facility is not that nice. Somewhat disappointing. Smelling, looking dirty. The sound from spring in the bad was noisy

If you have the option to go to the Holland House, which is also run by the LHA defenitly go there. It's similar but newer and cleaner than the New Mansion House.

Overall good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful although the reception closed at 9pm which was a little inconvenient for me as I had long work hours. You can leave luggage behind the reception. The room and bathrooms were generally clean even though it smelt a little dusty. If other people were living there I didn't notice. The location was excellent, right next to the tube but also within walking distance of a lot. Would happily stay there again.

good location, breakfast and dinner are o.k., few showers and some of them don't work - but it is o.k. for that price

Cheap in a great location, near Hyde Park but not on the main road so quiet, free wi-fi, free breakfast and dinners, clean, bathrooms spacious and plenty. The house has 4 floors and no elevator so prepare to carry your luggage. The only negative is the atmosphere, if you aren't staying in a couple or with friends it can feel quite isolated. The hostel has a lot of long-term staying people who tend to ignore normal tourists. Didn't see any common room to hang out in. Otherwise highly recommended!

Food was tasty and reasonable quality. Many thanks.
