Great location, very friendly english-speaking staff, nice rooms with fans.. had a very nice time there!

I think for the very little backpacker room, I payed way too much money. I didn't enjoy the info meeting because I didn't get travelling information, mostly just information about your tours.

Good value and convenient hostel. Pleasant atmosphere and comfortable outside seating area with wifi. The area was quiet at night so good for sleeping. Well situated 10/15 minute walk from BTS and close to a variety of street food stalls, also within walking distance of china town (depending on how lazy you are and how slowly you walk). The room with air conditioning was very comfortable, the rooms with just a fan were a little bit stuffy. Some minor problems with hot water and toilet flushing.

Bunk beds are very noisy and this makes it hard to sleep. Our dorm room was long and then and rhe airconditioning unit was located on the other side of the room so we were hot.

Clean hotel with a really nice staff, I recommend for your stay in BKK. Just don't forget to bring a padlock for your locker ;)

A Nice hostel, with grelt straf. The Danish travleagency Jysk Rejsebureau have their Bangkok office in the reception, which means it it easy to book tours, tickets etc. every day they have a free Bangkok introduction at 5 pm, which came in really handy to me. A fine hostel, but beware of the many Danes who lives there, they drink a lot.

Good price for what you get. The room was small but still ok. The staff wasn’t really friendly during check in and check out but the hostel itself has a nice look and it’s located in a quiet street behind the big road. Close to ferry and bts so good to get around in the city.

Great hostel in a local part of town. The dorms are clean though a little dark and hot at times (my bunk unfortunately wasn't in range of the fans). Staff are really friendly and helpful, the breakfast is the full works and very good for 160B, and the free tea and coffee was a lovely extra to give. All round an excellent hostel which I will be returning to very soon!

We had a room with a fan and it was so hot! We couldn't get on wifi in the room but was good in reception area, the food was good value and nice. Some members of staff weren't very helpful we're almost rude. There was no safe In the room only in reception which isn't where you want your valuables left.

Overall good experience. Staff were very helpful, fan-rooms were not as bad as everyone made out, great location and a good value for your money. Do be warned though, if you get hungry or thirsty don't get tempted to take anything out of the mini-bar, despite the lack of signs and information regarding this, you will be charged on check-out.

Nice Hostel, but.. A place, where the staff can put things they found while they clean up, would be nice! Then they dont throw away my food the next time ;)

We stayed here when we first arrived in bangkok and its definitely worth the money. Its pretty clean and feels secure and safe. The staff are really friendly and helpful and they have a desk to ask about stuff to do in Thailand so that is really helpful. It's not very close to all the main attractions and Koah San Road but its about 89 baht in a taxi.

Spent a long time to find out this hostel on the first day, but it was full. A good place to stay, friendly staff, nice yard. But it will be very noisy at night, because the bar is downstairs.

Thank you for your review. We have now changed the regulation at the bar, not to be disturbing guests after midnight. We are truly sorry you felt uncomfortable and therefore like to apologize. We hope you will be giving us another chance and coming back to our guesthouse in the future.

Great location, nice place.

Good! Just note there's no FREE breakfast and it takes more or less 20minutes walk from saphan taksin station. Most of the guests are from Europe (Dutch, Danish and etc.)

big hostel, lots of travelers from Europe. bar downstairs makes a bit of noise at night, but overall it's okay. breakfast is crazy overpriced, but room was a good price. a lot of jewellery shops in the neighbourhood, if that's what you came to Thailand for?

Great hostel and great price, highly recommended.

Thank you for your review! We are looking forward to welcoming you back to New Road Guesthouse in the future. :)

Only stayed there one night instead of two. 10 bed dorms are terrible, smelly, the beds are uncomfortable. Cleaning ladies are rude. Shovers are...terrible, you can not even lock most of them.

Danish hostel))

the bathroom is too small but it's great. you have to bring your own padlock. The location is reachable with taxi. beware of tuktuk, I rode taxi from Hua Lampong Railway Station, it's only costed me abt 40-60THB, While 'kind' tuktuj drivers offered me 150THB.
