New road guest house - I arrived early during the night (5am) due to my bus, when I arrived I'm told I am to early to check in despite emailing ahead 48 hours to tell them when I'd arrive- this email did not get a response. the staff that met me couldn't give a damn and in no way tried to help instead they watched YouTube, though I was offered a hammock in the common area until check in. First hostel i have ever stayed at where this has happened. The position of the hostel is poor, 20 minutes

Everyone was very nice and helpful. I had a basic room which has only a fan. I would suggest paying a little more to get the AC room. It VERY hot. My room was clean, shower worked and was comfortable. The hostel was very close to a river boat pier. The only complaint I have would be to get larger curtains. I am a young female traveling on my own, and the curtain did not cover the window completely. The building across the way could see in if they wanted to. Other then that absolute great!

Amazing place to stay! The staff is very friendly, and they serve a fairly elaborate breakfast buffet for THB160, so that you can load up and leave for the day. Location is pretty good too, walking distance from the pier and the BTS skytrain station, meaning that cheap and quick travel is no hassle. There was a nice lady at the front desk, called Ms. Noom, who was amazing in helping us plan out our day trips, free advice galore! Do visit!

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff. Upon arrival they give you an entire package with maps and a sheet listing main attractions and train stations etc in both Thai and English so that you can show a cab or tuk tuk driver where you want to go. The buffet in the morning looked pretty bad so we decided to explore the alley ways across the street and had some pad Thai from a street vendor and it has been the best pad Thai we've had our whole trip so far!

We had a great stay in this guesthouse. Staff are so nice and it was clean.

Great place to stay. Very nice staff, good location - just 5min to the boats pier. Very clean room and toilet - the standard room with fan was small, but you get what you pay for so I do not complain:) Comparing price to value - excellent .

Pretty good, friendly & helpful staff & close to the ferry to get to the main temples & khao san road. The only problem that we encountered was an infestation of bed bugs in both rooms & few in hallways. As for this we will not be staying here again.

Is a great hostel. 60 Baht tuk tuk ride to Khoa San road, so not ideal if thats where you intend to be spending time. But 2 minute walk from the Sky Bar which is a must see. Otherthan that its a great hostel.

Not the best location, the staff was friendly enough but I wouldn't suggest using their travel agency. Our "VIP" tickets down to Koh Samui cost more than double what it cost on the way back. Other than that it's clean and air conditioning is recommended.

This hostel was fine in terms of location, cleanliness and security, but I would say it was one of the worst hostels I've stayed at in my whole year of traveling due to the unhelpful staff and overpriced services. I have never stayed at a place that raises the price of a taxi, laundry, water, food and Internet because you are a guest. I thought their prices were absolutely absurd. The Wifi was the worst I'd experienced anywhere (Bolivia was better than this place). I do not recommend this hostel

Staffs are very friendly. The location is very good, convenient & easy to go to railway station, boat. But it takes a little bit long to walk to BTS station. In booking, there's no indication clearly which room without air condition. I had a wrong booking, my room only has fan & I had to stand a very hot night there. After that I changed the room with air condition, price is not very good but acceptable. Pls. tell clearly in the booking note.

for the dorm i stayed there are no air-cond, but fan inside the room make it comfort for sleep, and for each bed gat a big locker, its really big one that can just put your backpack inside, and the lock is provided. it make you feel the security is great there. staff is nice, lobby and restaurant is clean and with air-cond, actually you can play snooker right the common room. its located near to a pier, so only take 10 mins walk start your boat trip on the river. the only bad thing is the wifi.

Nice clean hostel, good value. always bustling with people busy coming and going. Quite far away from Ko San, but the location is still okay. The travels and tours/info desk is really helpful and the Welcome to Bangkok meetings they put on daily are really informative. A good place to start in Thailand :)

i stayed few days in the mixed dorm, its on the 4 floor, it's clean, and you wouldnt feel too hot since the fan is function able, but the free wifi cant be access at the dorm, i got connected only while at the lobby. it's very close to street full of pub so u can easily have fun at the night, and it also close to the grand palace and the pier, it's very good for your visit in bangkok. a mirror thing, there are always 3 to 4 cats stay in the lobby, they are so lovely actually.

We booked 2 dorms but when we got there, they had no dorm beds available, so they upgraded our stay to a private room for free. The staff was very nice and friendly. The fan in the room did not rotate and the window had no nets to block critters and mosquitoes from entering the room. The wifi signal was very weak and we couldn't log on, even in the lobby. However, there are computers with internet access for use with pay in the lobby. Overall, great value for the money.

Big improvements since my last stay in 2011, with new security lockers in the dorms, with padlocks provided, but disappointing that some are smaller and prevented me from securing my backpack, B3. The dorms were clean and tidy, reception staff friendly and food really good. All in all, great value for money.

Hard to find for taxi driver - had to ring to get final directions . Cold shower. Everything else including restaurant was good. Close to river for transport to several attractions.
