The hostel was great! I regret staying there only one night. Very cosy place, chilling and relaxing. Staff was extreemly helpful, told everything where to go, eat, could recommend great places and events. On top of that they are very open so you don't have this feeling that you're just a guest. Hostel is very clean. In terms of location - couldn't be better. Everything is close, Very good public transport connections.

2nd time in Warsaw at different hostel. Clean, perfect location, good staff. Direct bus 175 to airport. Big and concept rooms. I stayed in Newyork room. 2 point : Drunks at downstairs bar and limited hot water. I strongly suggest this hostel to everyone.

Aside for having to walk up a millions stairs the hostel was very nice. There are some issues with hot water but I was able to get enough to take a shower. The staff is very helpful and hostel is very clean. Its small and easy to meet people.

It was close to the international train station. Good security and had a nice homely feel about it. I would stay there again. Staff were very helpful and they spoke excellent English if that makes a difference to your choice of hostels....

Really clean hostel, the staff were great and good breakfast too. Turning your locker key in at the desk everytime you leave kind of defeats the purpose of locking your stuff up though.

Clean hostel but the bathrooms have no hot water. Some of the staff was really friendly and some weren't friendly or helpful at all. Great location, though!

Very nice place to stay, clean and very close to the old city. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice common room with kitchen when you can sit and chat with other travellers :)

New World is situated on Nowy Swiat street (hence the name, direct translation), pretty much in the centre of all the action. Shops, cafes, bars, all at your doorstep, and reasonably good access via public transport, or even walking from Warszawa Centralna. Staff were helpful and allowed us to keep our luggage stowed until we needed it after check-out. I stayed only one night but found the experience comfortable and would definitely return. The stairs woud get annoying for those staying longer

About the security. The only thing is when we left at 4 am to take the train to Gdansk, there was a homeless man in the staircase. He was sleeping in the building and we were almost afraid that he would try to grab our legs because we had to pass really close to him. I don't know if it's a common thing in Poland to accept homeless people inside the buildings, but it was clearly the first time I ever saw that. Otherwise I loved my stay in New World Hostel.

This is a goody-two-shoes hostel but clean and well-run and in a great location: cool studenty bar with live music right in the courtyard and a string of authentic, local bars in the courtyard across the street. Lot's of young people hanging out even on weeknights. The hostel is a three-flight hoof up a nasty smelling stairwell (that the hostel blames on the city?) and while the coffee is free, it's rancid. Often no hot water for showers, which they also blame on the city.
