Totaly dirty. We had bugs in our bed. The toilets were very dirty. The first receptionist were very unfriendly (a spanish guy) The last staff we had contact were cool. For money value, not recommended. We had a private room, very dirty. We got bugs in our bed (horrible). And also some cleaning staff eat our food! creapy Think two times for this hostel

Place has a good location but charge to much for the stay. Example is a charge for the towel, charge for the locker and you pay for the stay but has to pay the tax and extra tax for the bed. Also the place dont have as kitchen or refrigerator to used.Good location but to much noise.

First time staying in a Hostel anywhere. We stayed in a private bedroom and it served its purpose. It was very basic but in NYC we weren't looking to spend much time in our room anyway. The staff was really nice and funny. I was actually surprised that both desk attendants were as friendly as they were. The only downfall was that there were noisy people in the halls in the middle of the night, but that's not the staffs' fault. I would stay there again.

Staff was helpful. Bath & shower needs shelves to put personal items. Shower were warm not hot. Rooms needs shelf or some place to place luggage.

I really enjoyed my stay and the staff was very helpful and friendly. However, sometimes the restrooms were not in optimum condition and the room was tiny (I was in a private room that I shared with my daughter)) and the beds a quite uncomfortable, especially the pillows. I also think that the rooms should have at least a small closet or wardrobre, I know other hostels do. This would make the rooms more comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was chilly when boiler was down but front desk provided lots of extra blankets and was only an issue for the one night.

No common room of any kind and no kitchen, definitely not a place to meet people. Very clean though and seemed secure and safe. Staff businesslike but helpful. If you just want a bed and clean bathroom its reasonable value. The twin private was very small.

We booked a 3 bed private room and once we got there we found out it was only two beds. One bigger bed (not quite a full but bigger than a twin) and the other bed was a bunk bed. The staff mentioned it when I was checking in but at that point it was too late for me to make different accommadations. The bed itself was too springy and if the person on the top bunk moved you could hear it squeaking all night. The bathroom was also smelly and you should def bring some flip flops.

The only problem we found the hostel is that there is no elevator and the stairs are uncomfortable.

No lift available, even he front desk is in the second floor. all the rooms are in the 3rd floor and upward. it is too hard to carry the baggage on the stairs. Everything is payable for the cabinet, room key, towel...

It was ok, as expected. only one problem with water heating, which became an issue as it was winter. bathroom cleanliness wasn't good enough. Mattresses could be better also. Location is good. several good restaurants nearby. staff was polite and helpful.

The bed was a little springy and the room was a little cold late in the early hours of the morning. Location was pretty good and convenient for my needs.

It was a treat to stay in such a central location in Manhattan at such a good rate. I stayed briefly while in transit to Toronto, but I'll be back for a few days to see more of NYC.
