The location was just perfect for I could walk to many sightseens. I stayed in two rooms, one big but with the street noise, the other very small but quiet. All in all, I had a very good experience. Staff was nice, I met people form the dorm. It's just too bad there is not a common room, other than the entrance, for people to meet.

I have never been to a place where they cleaned the shared facilities at midnight. Considering the walls were really thin and the cleaning staff not considerate of people's sleep, they woke me up every night between 12am and 12.30am. I was not happy at all with that.

Not far from subway, had free wifi in rooms. Safe area. Surprisingly clean common bathrooms that are cleaned several times a day. A little noisy as the room was facing the street and walls are thin, so you can hear other guests walking/talking/closing doors. Nice, helpful staff. No elevator and steep stairs, so be prepared for a climb, although staff will offer to help with your luggage. Good value for money. I like that the room had a table, table lamp, small fridge and microwave and TV

Claustrophobic room and no possibility of changing. Lots of extra taxes added in spite of stated remaining balance on confirmation. Lack of common areas - small lobby. Definitley too expensive for that room! Moved out to other hotel as soon as we could. Got a room with a view on 23:rd floor with bathroom for same price.

This place was good for the price, clean enough, but our room was really tiny and had no ventilation. There is no lift so it got a bit annoying having to walk up and down the stairs to the 5th floor all the time. Otherwise I would recommend this place.

This is a good place to stay unless you want to meet people. NY Budget Inn could perfectly be a hotel: it´s clean, safe, well organized but don´t have the most important thing in a hostel: people to meet. There is no common area. So, if you are a lonely traveler and want to share experiences and time with other people, try other place. If you just want to explore NY by yourself, there is a good place to stay.

It's more like a hotel. No breakfast and no common area (that area in front of reception doesn't count). So, if you are traveling alone and wanna meet people, this is not a good place to stay. The shower place is very small!

Excellent location for a great price with really nice staff. There's no common room or kitchen so it's not the best for meeting people and the showers are few with really grotty floors (at least during my stay). That said, a really excellent hostel in a great location (I could see the empire state from my room!). Highly reccommended

It's all very clean and taken care of very well. The staff is amazing. The only thing they would need is a bigger common area and a kitchen. Like this it feels more like a hotel for young people than a hostel.

I enjoyed my stay. Everything was very clean. My only issue was the automatic lights in some of the bathrooms. If they automatically turn on, there is a good chance the lights will shut off while you're still in there. I had to fumble around in the dark mid-shower and switch to another bathroom because the light was on a timer. It wasn't fun. Good location though! nice neighborhood.

The cleanest place/hostel I've ever stayed!! Amazing!!! Nice staff, really helpfull with luggage and always helping. However, if you have a heavy bakcpack or luggage, the hostel it's then poor. No elevator and 5 floors. So, watch your knees! Also, no kitchen or area to relax or use a PC. Howevevr, free computer + internet.

The budget inn is in an excellent location perfect for exploring the city. Rooms are basic but clean which was perfect for us. The rooms got very cold with single glazed windows and plastic covering the bottom half, it felt like the window was open, and sounded like it too (we got earplugs.) Despite the reception staff being helpful the heat was never really resolved. Bathrooms we clean but the shower was weak and shower curtain smelt. Overall - stay for the great for location and cleanliness.

Nice and modern hostel, one guy from the staff (Caruso) welcomed me very friendly and gave tips. The hostel is not far away from Empire State Building.

New York Budget Inn is very basic, clean and safe. It has free wifi and slippers and toiletries upon arrival and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Location is great too. Disregard the comments about there being no communal space, its NYC people, go get out and about! HIghly recommend.
