Double beds were not that great to sleep on. The mattress are probably old. it was stiff and uncomfortable to sleep on. Only ended up staying one night. The room is self was nothing but gray. No decor and only one window, if you count it as one. Felt like one would imagine to be a cell.

Stayed 3 nights in a 4 bed dorm during the winter. There is no common area, so you will probably miss the atmosphere of a good hostel where you can easily meet people. There is no kitchen, but there is a fridge and a microwave in the dorm; however the place is so tiny and poorly ventilated that if someone uses the microwave; the entire dorm, the beds and your clothes will catch the smell of the food. On the bright side, the location is great, the area is safe and the staff is friendly.

Great hostel to stay in NYC for a couple of days. The bathroom was very nice and clean. Except for a couple of hair in my bed (prob from the cleaning lady), the rest of the hotel was absolutely clean, comfortable and a good place to stay if you are interested in going to the main sights in town.

This is an extremely well managed and operated hostel. Cleanliness and maintenance is of the highest order and something to be commended. The staff were attentive, very friendly and helpful, but also respected your space. The location was pretty good for getting around....enough restaurants and diners within easy reach. Probably only negative was internet connection kept dropping. Other than that I can highly recommend this hostel to anyone considering it.

Location was great and staff were all exceptionally friendly. The private room was tiny, but I wasn't there to hang out in my room so it didn't matter to me. I would definitely stay there again.

Great place. Location is great (7 mins from times square, 10 mins from United Nations, 5 minutes from empire state building, 7 minutes from subway). Place is so clean. They were ALWAYS cleaning everytime I passed by and went to my room. Staff go out of their way to be nice. I highly recommend it.

The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. A bigger social area would have been nice, but all things consider, it was a good hostel.

I absolutely loved this place. Wow was I impressed. It was so safe and clean and new! I think some people wanted more space to socialize but that's all I can say about it that wasn't superb! I am so staying there again! I kind of hope not many people pick up on it so I remains a quiet gem! Wonderful staff at all hours! So clean and convenient! Thanks so much and please keep up the great work and facilities!

Hostel is in noisy place, rooms oversee busy 3rd av and 34th street. It was cold in the room, heater didn't work all time. I had to ask staff 2 times during night, that they switched it on. Finally, they made it so hot that it smelled and with half open window temperature was ok. It is indeed clean, but the building and heating system are legacies.

This is definitely a good hostel. I've tried many, and this one is on the top of my list. Super clean, and extremely helpful and friendly staff. I had a great stay. If I can suggest any improvement, I would point out the noisy fan in the bathrooms; they are so annoying. Replacing them for more silent ones would make a huge difference. Cheers!

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was simple but clean and provided all that I needed. Close to nearby attractions, it's ideal for those on a budget.

Very clean and nice place to stay. Convenient location, nice staff. Everything was working great. Maybe not the most fun place to stay, slightly lacking the typical hostel atmosphere, but nothing to complain!
