it was just a detail that made us so unhappy about it...they move us to another room the last night and we had to do it while we were eating. the stuff isn't good at all. stay there just for the location and price

The staff did not know what was going on, every time we walked into the hostel they asked us what room we were in, if we had paid, how long were staying. The staff never knocked on the door, they just walked into the rooms, once while I was getting changed. Im sure there are hostels around with a little more charm.....

This is a fantastic hostel which an amazing location right beside the Damascus Gate and buses to the West Bank. There are lots of cheap restaurants serving great food right beside the hostel.Matresses aren't the best however. The owner is a very nice guy and seems to go out of his way to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

The bed broke as soon as I sat down on it. The room was really dirty. The staff gave me horribly wrong directions to the bus station. I was booked for three nights but ended up deserting after two. Stay here for the free internet if you must.

You get what you pay for, and at $10 a bed...I think you get more than what you pay for. The atmosphere was wonderful...the people add life to the place. It's dirty, but not as horrible as I was expecting a Jerusalem hostel to be...don't be a puss. The experience can be as good as you want it to be.
