A very clean, quiet and well equipped hostel, the next coles/aldi/woolies were too far away (30min walk), but close to the beach and the bus stop, a relaxed atmosphere and a nice communal area with dvd and pool table
Nice big hostel. Rooms and facilities were good. Location is great. I would recommend
The showers were a bit dirty. Beautiful place though. Close to everything.
For a YHA this was really nice. Superbly located for restaurants, bars and the beach too. Staff were really good and the common area is lovely with its leather sofas and chilled vibe. One thing to watch for is that if you have a car like we did, parking can be scarce and isn't free during the day.
Lovely hostel with a great location however there isn't very much going on and I found there wasn't much to do. Newcastle is a lovely place to visit but maybe only for a night or two
Located near to the Beach, centre and Coach terminal. Nice staff and well equipped kitchen. Free BBQ was great. Cons: NO free wifi (newcastle City has free wifi everywhere...), too much encounters of cockroaches for my taste (but not like "infested" - you just see here and than one. Impossible to fully avoid in this climate), atmosphere was just average no big social life. Good night sleep was possible, no noise in the evening.
pefectly close to the beach, has every thing you need. Compared to other hostel a lot less typical backpackers but many old and wired people during my stay
