Little too far off. I rather call this place a pousada. But if you wanna have quiet nights at a decent location, its your place! Cheers, Fabsen

Not right in the center, but with a halfway decent map and a short metro ride, it's super easy to find. The beds were comfortable and the Bathrooms were clean. They even arranged to have a taxi pick me up and bring me to the airport. Great little place. Totally worth the stay.

Was a nice hostel, good staff, breakfast included. Not right downtown but easy enough to travel to by subway

We returned to NKH this year for all the good reasons noted. We especially liked those Good reasons in conjunction with its quiet lactation and excellent position with respect to Metro (Manuel Montt), plus a nice 15 minute walk up the Main Street (Provicencia /. 11 Sept.) to some great restaurants , especially so the Vegetarian. This year we had the 'other' large room facing the street..ok but hot water was a hit or miss situation. Sink tap had to be close to cold position n 1/2 on 2 work

Very good hostel for the older traveler. It is kind of in a wierd location and was to quiet for my liking but it was very clean and safe.

Nice yard/garden, nice old house with squeking grounds. The small double room ("sur") was ok, the big one ("verde") upstairs was excellent.

Very good, quiet, relaxing hostel. The garden out the back is delightful, the perfect place to chill out and read a book at the end of a big day exploring Santiago. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The location, in Providencia, is close to lots of excellent restaurants and the subway. The breakfast is satisfying. If you are looking for a quiet hostel to relax and recharge, this is a very good option. The shower is a bit temperamental, though.

Most amazing hostel kitchen I've ever seen! I stayed in the 8 bed room with two other people. I think full it would have felt cramped. It was also pretty easy to hear people walking around upstairs, so either be a heavy sleep or bring ear plugs.

We stayed there twice in January 2013. The location is great. Very near a metro stop in Providencia. We felt safe there. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was nice. The only downside was the shower. It didn't seem to want to stick to a single temperature. It would change from hot to cold and back without your moving the controls. Other than that, a great place.

Nice hostel with good private rooms, although the shower was very very small, it was clean which I find more important! Only the employee who was there when we arrived could have been a bit more enthusiastic... Nice garden to relax in and superfast internet :-)

Seriously, I love this place. I've been to some five other hostels in Santiago and this was by far the best. It's quiet, clean and there is a GARDEN inside with tables where you can sit to drink and relax. How awesome is that? And the staff is super nice - specially Andrea! :)
