Really pretty hostel in a handy location for the metro into town. Wifi and Internet was great, breakfast great and the staff were really helpful and especially tolerant if my non existent Spanish! The only negative was that the lovely wooden floors mean that the slightest noise carries through the hostel and I struggled to sleep for the noise when I had a downstairs room. Other than that I would definitely recommend it.

The staff at Newen Kara Hostel were extremely friendly and accommodating. I only stayed one night, but in the short time I was there I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and comfortable beds!

How was my stay? Amazing! Best hostel in South America so far. Clean, clean, clean. Which is a challenge for hostels I think. Beds are so comfortable. Beautiful decor, free internet, breakfast is decent. HIGHLY recommended. Do it!

Nice little cosy Hostel. It is just a Bit Noisy. Stayed in the room on the ground floor and could hear people knocking at the Front door & entering all Night Long.

The shower is too narrow, the room has no table and the light is poor. But... still nice.

The staff was great at all times, and very helpful. The only bad thing I can think of is that it has only one (for each gender) shared bathroom for all shared rooms, so waiting for a shower oportunity can get tedious.

The hostel is lovely and in a quiet classy neighbourhood. The single room with shared bath I booked turned out to be in the basement and suffered from noise from the wooden floors in reception directly above. Furnishing was good and bathrooms were modern, but upstairs. I would stay again but not in a basement room.

Front desk staff was very helpful. Appreciated Internet access. Room was small but adequate. I would recommend this hostel to others who wish to be in a nice, quieter district away from the downtown, central area. Close to metro stop. Pleasant courtyard.

Spent our first 3 nights in Chile here and we enjoyed the place very much. The staff is especially friendly and helpful....could not ask for better! We are part of the retired 1960's University crowd that is now on the loose again doing what we love best to do..grab a backpack ( my wife has converted to a 'bag on wheel') and travel. This Hostel was a rather nice intro to Santiago ..20 min walk up to The best Veg restaurant + others. 1 negative = sweakey floor upstairs. Would return here.

Very noisy, also other people in hostel were very reckless. They smashed the doors when they got back in the early morning. minus: no safe deposit in the room

The bathrooms were really small, hardly fit one person. But that was the only complain, otherwise my family loved the place and its staff. Probably, we'll be making new reservations!

Our stay at the hostel was a positive experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hostel is walking distance to a metro station, supermarket and restaurants.
