It's my opinion that the hostel is run more like a business than a hostel with all the add ons needing a cash deposit even though in other hostles these things come for free. There was however free daytime storage. We enjoyed the use of the cinema area including comfortable seats and a choice of films. However, the aspect that let the hostel down the most was THE KITCHEN. With 104 beds in the hostel the kitchen struggled to hold 6 people - at this point it was difficult and unbearable.

Great hostel! Definitely one of the best ones i've stayed in on my east coast trip. the 10 bed dorms are very spacious and clean. The bathroom was kinda small tho. Hervey bay is the most boring place to stay so you better don't spent too much time in the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free pick up service for everyone is great!

Highly recommended !! I have been staying at NEXT for ten nights. It is excellent !! Not a party hostel. Excellent location. You have everything just next door, post office, bank, resto, super market & beatch. Nice, friendly & helpful staff. Kitchen is tidy and neat, just a bit small. If wifi is cheaper, it would be perfect !! haha !! Mine is a 4 femal dorm. They put me to a girl zone. For sure, I will come back if I visit Hervey Bay again !!

Lousy hostel, dirty rooms, awful showers, rooms without windows ... not worth a dollar!

Nice place in good location. Rooms are clean. The staff is very very very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!
