Don,t bother going there, for some untold reasons, they shut the hostel down the next day I arrived there. I was told to pack-up and book out as I climb down the stairs... Welcome to Saigon... But not to worry, there are plenty of good decent Hostel surrounding this area and I found a real good one within 15mins. It,s called the Dung Café. Very clean, quiet at night and all the commodities with friendly staff and on top of that or should I say on the bottom, there is the restaurant downstairs

I don't know what's going on here with the reviews. Is someone trying to build a bad reputation for this hotel? I stayed in this hotel recently several times. It was always clean, staff friendly, the beds very comfortable. There is a fridge and a TV in the dorm!! Free Wifi and computers are provided. There is a printer as well (probably costs a small fee) Fresh towels every day. Toiletts with toilett paper :) Small book exchange. Good laundry service. Great location, everything is just a small

This place in HCMC was really cheap, but don\'t expect much for it. Sure, they throw in \"breakfast\", (which is just bread and a scrambled egg), but the place isn\'t that great if you are looking for helpful or enthusiastic staff. The woman who seemed to own the hostel was not overtly rude, she just didn\'t seem interested in much other than making money from guests. Again, keeping in mind the very low cost, there is not much room to complain. Still, 1 toilet in a dorm room of 9 people is rough.

Great five bed dorm at the top with air-con. Secure and clean. Free breakfast but found antsbaked into the bread which put us off a bit. Woman running it was pretty moody and unfriendly! Tried to make out we were lying about a key deposit...

I like the reception lady, she's cold but helpful. I stayed in the dorm on the 5th floor without alleviator which makes every time back to the room is a march. the shower and toilet are in the room so it's not comfortable, but for the price, it's acceptable. one shower isnt really working, only dripping water out. in the other one the holder is broken and you have to hang it on the pipe or hold it all th time through shower. th bed is ok, but i found blood( sure not mine) on the blanket..

I booked a 6bed female dorm and got a 10bed mixed dorm. the bath was really dirty. bathroom in the room, so anyone in the room can hear, smell and see, what you do. staff was friendly, breakfast ok, wifi works, location very good.

Whilst the hostel is acceptable, the manager's attitude made my time stressful. She was rude to myself and other guests, accusing me of not paying on three separate occasions, the last specifically relating to check-out 10 minutes after I had paid! Both of my tours were booked incorrectly, there was no hot water at all, the internet is temperamental, and the laundry service is a joke. Just don't bother - find a better hostel for a lower price.

The owner was very rude when confronted about our washing. we were expected to sift through various washing baskets to find our own clothes. When you pay for a service you expect to get your clothes given back to you on the bag you provided. The owner argued and said "stay in a hotel". Not a nice lady unless you wanted to book through her for a trip. Would not even give info on local bus stations and tickets unless you bought from her

The place is worth the price, very clean and breakfast is included! However, the manager should be more patient with backpackers and a little bit nicer...

Great rooms, I stayed in the 9 bed dorm and we had our own lounge area with Sky tv, air conditioning is such a pleasure after the heat outside. Breakfast is really filling and the location is brilliant...near everything!

Great place to start your trip, especially if you're alone. It's centrally located in district 1 so there's always something to see. Short walk from markets and short bus trip to china town but you could probably walk there too. Only downside was the lady at reception could be very annoying at times. She came into our room at 11.40 when everyone was asleep accusing someone of not handing in their passport and was sleeping in the room for free and then when she made a mistake she just walked out

We didn't have any problems but it's a bit unorganized. Giving your passport to someone who doesnt speak english to have it placed in a pile with 50 others is un nerving! A key deposit system would be better! Or reservations System where we get to keep our most valueable property as a traveler. There were times we also felt like she took advantage of us with technicalities that work to her advantage.
