This hostel is very charming and the staff was great. They were welcoming and very helpful - one particular staff member even gave us a lot of advice about Lisbon, not just Sintra.

Everyone was very friendly here. Loved the beautiful garden and living room, and our room had the most beautiful views of Sintra. I only wish the hostel was not at the bottom of a steep hill, because on the way out with our luggage I think my boyfriend nearly gave himself an aneurysm hauling the suitcases ;)

For Portuguese norms I found the price of 18 euro for a through the week day and 21 euro for a Sunday very expensive. An amount between 12 and 15 euro a night would be more reasonable for Portugal. Also the price should be the same from Monday till Sunday I think, the beds and rooms are the same right? The rooms are very cozy and well kept same for bath rooms. Very good breakfast! Staff is absolutely helpfull and kind! The garden is lovely! Pls put sign in town for direction hostel!

Very well localized hostel, close to the city center. The staff is excellent! Funny, helpfully and always ready to show the best places to know in Sintra. Hostel very clean and the breakfast is complete. The garden is amazing, very bucolic and romantic. I really loved it!

Miguel was friendly and offered great advice. Breakfast was nice and had good hours. Toilet in top floor 3-person room was noisy and ran for a long time. Otherwise, excellent!

I stayed in Sintra for one night and I wish I stayed longer but I have to say it is a perfect location and great value for money. The staff are very friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere to chill out in the evening. Very good facilities to make your own meals and the shower rooms are very clean with hot running water. It has a great kitchen and backyard. I totally recommend this place to stay I have nothing bad to say.

Niceway is the perfect place for a beautifu holiday. Lovely house, garden and view. Well appointed kitchen (even dishwasher!), breakfast super and prettily presented. Staff were fabulous, going out of their way to help. Thank you!

The place is old and dirty. The staff is informal and they don't care about your stay. The heat didn't work at the room and there was a short-circuit when I tried to connected it. The breakfast was poor. The truth is that this place is the only Hostel in the city, so my recomendation is that you don't spend a night there (in Sintra) cause is really small. Stay in Lisbon, and just go there and back in the same day...

When one is staying in Sintra this is where you should stay. Miguel was super cool and had the patience and time to really connect and share the cool stuff he would do. Also, great location and great place. The place is a mansion! I want to go back in summer!

Pros: beautiful building with ornate ceilings and chandeliers, very nice kitchen with dishwasher, key card access with lockable lockers, cozy common room with great TV selection and lots of DVDs to watch, VERY helpful staff, great outdoor with view, just down the street from the center of town Cons: No 24 hour reception, one evening it was difficult to tell who was running the reception and who was a guest (staff hanging out cooking dinner, talking on Skype etc), expensive for a 10 person room

Such a lovely little hostel. I can imagine in summer this would be the kind of place you'd stay on in for a week or two! 5 minute walk from the center of Sintra, great kitchen, clean bathrooms :)
