This hostel is AMAZING. I would definitely stay here again. It's in an ideal, convenient location, and the staff is very helpful. We planned several day trips with a great driver (Hi Wayan!) and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere of the hostel and all the help they provided. The onsite restaurant is delicious and the pool and grounds are beautiful. Ubud is a lively place and the location was central to everything. I have no complaints about this hostel other than we didn't get to stay long enough!

They were parsimonious with the towels, but I'll chalk that up to the "clean up the island" campaign. The staff were anxious to help us with bookings for tickets, trips, etc. but weren't so willing to accommodate changes. My friend, for example, was called back to Bangkok, due to the flooding, and the staff refused to refund even half of the money for a ferry ticket she'd purchased through them.

Terrific location, in amazing surroundings, a very relaxing atmosphere. I clearly had the budget room, compared to some of the villas nearby, but was happy with the room albeit a little old and dirty.

Relaxing and peaceful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for peace and tranquility.

If you can get a room at Nick's Pension take it...! This place is the best...and was the high point in my 6 week Asian Travels... Jalan Bisma is easy to walk to...and is full of guesthouses

Good service with warm Balinese hospitality.

Positives: location is excellent - near a river and right in the centre of Ubud, although away from the busy streets. The bungalows are pretty and full of character, with a lovely furniture. Negatives: inside the bungalows it feels constantly damp and the bathroom smells. Staff are friendly and polite, but very insistent on selling you tours. Expect to be asked about going on tours several times a day by several people. Overall, a nice stay and an excellent breakfast - we would go back again.
