Nid's is poorly located in a run down area. It was a 20 minute walk to the beach which is fine normally but it was through a bad area and it was a bit of a trek if made more than twice per day. The ammedities are old and not up to date. Breakfast is nice but not a reason to stay here. The staff is very friendly but since it is low season there is much better accommodation along the beach for cheaper. Don't book a place, just arrive on the beach and ask around.

We had a very good stay here! The location is a bit weird, but still close to the city centre, even on foot. The rooms are cleaned every day. The breakfast is very good. The staff is very helpfull. There is a nice and clean pool. There is a safe in the room. We recommend it!

A little offside, but really nice resort and cozy bungalows in a jungle-like layed out garden. Tasty breakfast included, helpful staff. Only drawback is the 10-15 minutes walk to Chaweng beach. Unfortunately only scarce encounters with other travellers, therefore more private atmosphere for everybody who likes it. Only few information given on activities or "must-do's" in the near surrounding. Anyway a recommendable place to chill out for one day or two.

Thank you for our enjoyable stay at Nid's bungalows. Facilities are excellent, pool area is beautiful and kept clean. Daily room cleaning and en suite shower was fantastic. The price of the room is so low for the great facilities on offer, we were so pleased that we stayed an extra 3 nights. Nid's cooking is amazing and very good price. Will recommend Nid's bungalows to other backpackers. Excellent value for money.

I booked the dorm room at Nid's bungalows for 2 nights and have ended up staying 8 nights. The place is really quirky with the whole complex really lovingly tended by Nid and her excellent team of local staff. There are loads of tropical plants in and around the bungalows on site, and the facilities, with pool, bar, restaurant, gym, washing facility and free breakfast inc toast, tropical fruits etc is great! Loads of animals such as dogs, cats and chickens on site...thoroughly recommended!!

You get what you pay for at Sid's. The staff are very helpful, though they did make us wait 30 minutes before showing us to our rooms, because they were nowhere to be found. It is in quite an odd location, a 200THB tuk tuk ride away. Rooms were tidy, comfortable beds, towel and blanket provided. Wifi access was faaaaantastic. There is a gym, which isn't really well equipped, and the pool is deceptively shallow (more easily amenable for wading)..

good stay. people that work there are really the sweetest people ever. its not in the best location, but for the money its great. not a great atmosphere becasue there are not many dorms, so as a solo traveler, there might be better places. but definitely would stay again

Can't understand all the great reviews about this place. Nid herself was lovely and other staff were pleasant. Bungalows weren't as nice as others we had stayed at for similar prices though. Weren't many people around to mingle with but that is probably due to the fact that there was a half moon party on the same night on neighbouring Koh Pha Ngan. Very average. Wouldn't have liked to have been a solo traveller staying there

Super friendly staff. Nid is lovely and makes a sweet hot breakfast. The place is cute and characterful. It's just in the wrong place. I was only there for one night and didn't see much of the island, so I'm probably wrong. My judgement is going off the fact that it took us about 20-30 mins to wander into town. You can book a tuktuk but I prefer things to be within walking distance.

Still my favourite place!! I have stayed in many different types of accomodation and this is far by the best because of the amazing atmosphere, the animals and the lovely staff. Was my second time at Nid's and I honestly can't say enough good things about the place. Very clean and large swimming pool with sunbathing area, wifi, rooms are cleaned every day without fail, clean towels and sheets daily, free breakfast! Nid is an amazing person and so is her daughter. Will def go back!!!!xxx

Friendly, helpful staff and clean dorm - met some great people and had some even better times. Nid also arranged for a staff member to drive me to the Nathon ferry at 4am (for a fee of course), very happy with that.

We loved our stay at Nids. Very clean, exceptional service. Very kind helpful staff. Awesome free breakfast each day and location was very close to the beach and main town area.

Helpful staff, if you don't mind sleeping under a mosquito net and sharing the room with a few of the local wildlife (which we didn't) then it's fine (specifically a cockroach/frog/gecko/bats) It was a beach hut so we anticipated a few creepy crawlies 15/20min to pier which we didn't mind as enjoy walking Nice food nearby and nice beach on doorstep

This place was really good, perfect for meeting other people. There's a bar/restaurant and swimming pool on site and the main part of Chaweng isn't far at all. They rent out mopeds for a reasonable price and there were no issues. There are chickens, dogs, cats and all sorts living around the complex here, nice touch as it, was good to have a few creature comforts! I stayed in the 8 bed dorm and even though there was no aircon it wasn't a problem, the fans are more than enough. Fully recommended!

Pros: swimming pool, 10min walk to beach, 5-10min to bars and restaurants, sociable atmosphere, free breakfast, helpful staff, lots of friendly animals(the little brown chihuahua was very cute) Cons: the road to the entrance was very dark and quiet apart from the odd scooter flying down, very hot and stuffy in room without aircon(so pay the extra).
