This was my second time visiting this hostel and i know i will be coming back again. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful in all matters, the location is perfect and the rooms are clean and well maintained. There is wifi, fast and reliable, not to mention included in the cost, and even a few computers that the guest can use at their pleasure. This is a must for me since i am something of a social network addict. I can not recommend it enough.

There is nothing more pleasurable for me than coming back to the Nightingale Hostel. The first time i stayed here i knew right away i would be coming back. The staff is very friendly and more than willing to lend a helping hand with anything a guest might desire. All the bedrooms and common areas are clean and well maintained. The breakfast, just like last time was nice, plentiful and came with all the coffee and tee i could consume. Not to mention included in the price. One of the best features of the host

The hostel is really bad illuminated inside because of dark light what's make the atmosphere so evil. The rooms are really small and everything is "made" only for making money not for being helpfull for travellers. The owner is really self-confident and he is thinking that his hostel is the best in Sofia. He also is trying to drive You to get to know some bulgarian words. The kitchen is so close to rooms so when someone is cooking every smells are in whole flat. I would recommend it for 1 night.

This is essentially the worst hostel I have ever stayed in, and that is coming from someone who has just spent three months staying in cheap hostels all over Southeast and central Asia. The facilities listed were not an accurate representation of what they offered, cleanliness was almost none existent, I paid to have my clothes washed and had them returned stained, the only thing I appreciated was the fact that due to poor management, they had overbooked and I was moved to a decent hostel.

Never again! The Owner offers free nights for good reviews, this is the only reason why this hostel has a such high rating. And I got this Email from the owner of the hostel, after I gave him my honest review: "You are the most stupid false german busturd I've ever met! Congratulations! I wish you all the worse for you and all the the other gays! God see everything! Mihail, Nightingale"

The hostel is trully nice. The staff is very friendly and always helpful, the atmosphere is very relaxed and everyone is easygoing and open. The hostel itself is perfectly located in the centre of the city and with easy access to whatever you might need. Getting to all the sights and/or enjoying a night out in one of the many pubs is the easiest thing in the world. The place itself is clean and the beds have covers to ensure a bit more privacy to the guests should they desire it. There is a well stocked kitchen and a place to store your own food and drinks should you wish it. The wifi is fast and reliable so giving a blow by blow account of your trip to your friends halfway across the world is easy as well (im a facebook nut, can't help it). There are a few computers which can be used freely by the guests as well. Last but not least, the price was great, not to mention that it includes a simple but nice breakfast (i tried something local and very tasty). All in all i would difinitely recommend it and will be coming back.

I've stayed at this hostel on three separate occasions. It's always been clean, and the staff really goes out of their way to make you happy (Thank you to Michael and Sasha). The hostel is in the center of the city --maybe a ten-minute walk to Aleksandr Nevski cathedral, on the tram line, and next to the easy-to-find McDonald's. There's an interesting clientele there. That seems to be commonplace. For this price, it's absolutely worth staying here.

Had a great stay here. The location is excellent being close to the center of Sofia. The owner Michael is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We stayed in the dorms and the beds are all big and comfortable. My only complaint is that breakfast is quite inconsistent. On the last day we were served bread and butter.

Hostel was on a great location. Stuff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is great, you feel more like staying with great friends or family, you don\'t have feeling that is hostel. Recommendations.

My favourite place in Sofia to crash! Most friendly staff in the city, good beds, fresh breakfast and great common area. Just get rid of you-know-who ;)

Everything was great except toilets and showers could be cleaner and receptionist with dark hair should be more polite.

One of the worst hostels we've been to- the owner ordered us a taxi to pick us up at the bus stop and we had to pay him 10 EUR for it. on our way back we asked the taxi driver what was the price and he told us it was 4 euro. the hostel is full of old people, a crazy guy talking to the computer who is sleeping in the common room and we really didn't feel very nice there. The bathrooms were really bad and the breakfast was very poor.we wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear Dora , you were 4 people with A LOT of baggage so we organized a big safe combi to pick you up. In front of a train station stay very expensive taxes so you would pay much more. There was only one old singer from Finland. He sometimes sing for himself. For breakfast we have prepared home made delicious fried dough filled with cheese. But you have just missed the main breakfast so you had only free tea, coffee and milk( the breakfast from 8.30am to 10 am). Additional we organized a trip to Rila Monastery with a private mini bus for you only. After that we have kept your big luggage free until the night train in 10 pm. The bathrooms are fully renovated and clean. For all accommodation you have paid 5 Euros only. You never complained from anything and thank us a lot in the end of a staying. Sorry but you are not honest and fair in your opinion. So my friends travelers, come and check personally - and see what your money will bring to you. We wish Happy New Year to everybody !!!!! 2 0 1 2 !!!!! The long a
