Great breakfast, lovely staff! Nice, air conditioned room. Small, but very comfortable. This is my second time in Bangkok and my second time at Niras! We're coming back for sure!!!

A great place with really friendly and helpful staff. You can pretty easily walk to nearly all of the city attractions from here (Little India, Chinatown, Wat Po, Khao San Rd, etc.), but you're not stuck in an ugly location. The pad thai across the road is good, and it's a nice neighbourhood to wander through at any time of the day. The only downside was the dodgy light switches in both bathrooms that kept making sizzling noises when you tried to turn them on. Otherwise a really enjoyable stay.

An excellent hostel. A little pricier than some others in Bangkok but you get what you pay for. Rooms (we had a private suite) are secure and spacious, bathrooms are clean. A/C cooled the room nicely. Great location, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. Definitely recommend!

Lovely staff, the location is great you can do visit a lot of places just walking. The Golden Mountain is only like 10 mins away, the Royal Palace like 20 mins walk and after that you can walk 10 more min s to see the giant Buddha laying down ( I forgot the name of the place) Do not take tuk tuks or believe what strangers say about the Expo show is not true.

We really enjoyed our 5 nights at Niras Bankok. The staff was very helpful about things to go see. They also gave us tips about taking taxis. Taxis can be difficult for tourists because they sometimes refuse to use the meter. Demand the meter is what Niras advised us. Anyhow, the hostel also has a coffee shop at the reception which was a great hang out spot. WIFI was fast and reliable. Rooms were clean, lockers were huge, hot water worked, tv room was comfortable, laundry service available.

Very good hostel. Comfy beds and pillows. Good location for the ones who don't like the fuzz of Khaosan Rd. Great location for sightseeing.

I love this hostel! It was a great location in Bangkok, especially for Thai New Year, or Songkran. Niras was a ten-minute walk to Khao San Road, one of the biggest and craziest roads in the entire city to experience the intense water fights of Songkran. The best thing about Niras was we were close enough to get to Khao San, but we were removed enough that we could still have quiet and walk out the door without getting soaked--well, you could go maybe two blocks! We will come back again!

This place is so charming, and the staff were really nice. We loved our room and all its wonderful detail, and the common areas were comfy to hang out in an escape the heat!

This hostel has lots of character and a nice coffee shop downstairs. The dorm room was clean and had plenty of plug sockets and lockers. The bathrooms were detached but equally clean with hot water (not that I wanted it!). It was easy to meet people and had a good atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The staff was really helpful and friendly. The hostel was nice to stay at. I met a lot of interesting people. The six-person all-girls dorm was fun and I was surprisingly able to sleep with that many people in the room.

Stayed here for the second time. Apparently there has been a change of staff, which gives the place a different vibe. Nonetheless, the character and attention to detail still make this a great place to stay. And I still LOVE the Thai milk tea that they serve!

This was a really lovely, friendly little hostel. The cafe is good and staff are really sweet and helpful. They even ordered a take away pizza for us on our day off! The building is very interesting too. My only complaint is that my sheets had not been changed since the last person, but I've slept in worse conditions so wasn't too bothered! And they did change them e next night.
