The owner, George, is one of the coolest proprietors I've ever met. The rooms are, as advertised, supposed to be apartments, as such there is a small kitchenette in a relatively large room - and for a price that can't be beat! Great location, close to the beaches and an easy bus ride to downtown Chania.

This is the only place to stay in Hania! George is an absolute legend and has everything you could possibly need at his disposal; including beach towels and mats, detailed explanations of what to do in the area and bus tickets. If you need anything just ask George. I had a private room here and was well appointed and comfortable.. Location is literally 100m from the beach and close to the hwy for exploring the island. Balos and Elafonisi beaches are a must! Will definitely be back!

We had a great time staying at Niriis. George was all helpful, endeavoured to make our stay as good as possible and gave good travel advice. We got an even better room than actually booked, it was clean, we had a small kitchen so we were able to cook for ourselves, a small balcony and a bathroom with a nice warm shower! Best value-for-money accommodation we had on Crete!

I was absolutely thrilled with the overall ambiance of Niriis. The faculty was very hospitable, the rooms were very clean, and the location was fairly great. There are multiple beaches close to the hostel, convenient stores, restaurants and only a 7 euro taxi ride to the square. I really loved my experience at Niriis and recommend everyone to stay there.

George was amazing! He knows Chania and the island so well, that his suggestions for us were on spot. We loved the value for the money. Could only use wifi near the lobby but I guess thats so we enjoy our vacation a bit more ;) A little out of town but thats okay if you have a rental car. Clean room, and good atmosphere, easy to find.

Niriis is a fantastic place to stay. George, the owner, is so friendly and helpful. He really helped make our stay in Crete one of the best vacations I've been on. Clean rooms, great location.
