The owners are very rude and not friendly, I don't recommend this place for anyone, there are better places for the same rates. They just want business. The Hostelworld will be recommended, but not the 26D at Kandy

I had a wonderful stay! I booked two nights but decided to try to stay for another 2. Jagath was most accommodating and made it happen. A lovely little place to stay. I would stay there again. Thanks!

Nice place and excellent room. Dinner as extra was well worth the rupees. No hot water in shower was only negative but aside from that a pleasant stay.

Jagath and his wife were wonderful hosts. We had a double room with shared bathroom. The room was large and the bed incredibly comfortable. It is located just steps away from the lake and a fifteen minute walk from the Temple of the Tooth. I'd highly recommend this guest house.

It is more like a homestay. There is nor sign at the door but for an attorneys office. I think they have 5 rooms and they (including the bathroom) were the most modern we have seen in Sri Lanka! The bed looked good but was not very comfortable though. There is a nice area downstairs to sit and also a roof terrace where it is allowed to smoke. We had breakfast there, which was good (Sri Lankan Omlett is delicious) and to a reasonable price. We would go there again!

Nice family run hostel. Sweet home atmosphere. We stay here 2 nights and do not want to go out - although the beautiful lake is just 1 minute walk. Definitely the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka.

When standing at the front of 26D , at the beginning we felt a little disappointed looking at the unimpressive grey building. However, it was changed few minutes later resulting from warm smile and tasty tea from the boss and landlady. At the arriving day, we went to climb Adams' Peak at night, And the landlady prepared the delicious sandwiches for us. My sister likes to do some cooking in the kichen,so they gave her a lot of help. Finally, we had stayed here for four nights. ging01@163.com

Overall, we enjoyed our stay there. The owners are nice, the location is good and the cleanliness level is up to par. However, the term "B&B" is a bit misleading as breakfast isn't included.

Very much enjoyed my stay at this guesthouse. It is a family-run place and the people are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not included in the room price, but we added it for a little money and it was truly authentic and excellent. Room was clean and had everything you need. Location is great, just next to the Hotel Suisse and Kandy Lake. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

Nice and friendly place, lovely owners, good location. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at 26D, but found the room a bit overpriced. Our room was fairly clean, but smelled of damp (lack of air coming in) and was dark. Slept in nicer rooms in Sri Lanka that were cheaper! Also, weren't offered breakfast as the kitchen help wasn't there. Anyhow, it's a nice place to stay a couple of nights and the owner is very kind and helpful.

No 26D is a comfortable guesthouse. We stayed in the cheaper room with the shared bathroom. We didn't actually have to share the bathroom but it was out on the terrace (not joined to the room). The wall between this room and the one next door has a gap at the top therefore you can hear a lot of what is going on next door. The fan only seemed to have two settings - off and very high. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay and the host was friendly.

A very warm welcome from the owner of the house, who treated us to local tea from his wife's village and some delicious sweets. We also received a useful advice from the host re inexpensive and tasty local food and Kandy sightseeing and got tickets to the traditional tribal dance show, which was very impressive indeed.

We loved our stay here. The location is quiet, on the lake, a nice 15 minutes walk from the main town. The room was comfy and there is a nice outside balcony area to sit. Jagath sells dance show tickets (we enjoyed!) and organised a tuk tuk driver for a day for us at at great price. The owners are lovely and very friendly.
