Nilanthi and Jagath were very welcoming hosts and even gave us a goodbye present! Located near the river in Kandy is quite ideal and we were even able to go next door to the Suisse hotel for a swim (500rp). Turk tuk rides from out the front were handy also. Overall a pretty good place.

This is a family home with a few guest rooms in the basement. It is very close to Kandy (5min walk) and just off the lake. However, the room was not clean and had a terrible ant problem. The room was very basic but would have been fine if it had not been for the ants. Otherwise the room was fine, the family were very nice.

Friendly owners, nice location and a clean room. Was happy to stay there while we were in Kandy for a couple of days.

After staying in a rat-hole of a homestay in Kandy, D26 was like heaven on earth. Wonderfully friendly smiles, a nice clean room, and I especially loved the large outdoor patio area upstairs where I could do my morning exercise and stretching. The shower pressure was really good and strong, but didn't have hot water. Probably a good thing; I would have wanted to stay in there for hours.

Nice place to stay, good location, near the lake which gives you easy access to the city centre. The hosts are very friendly and make sure you have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are big enough and clean. There is a little terrace on top where you can chill and see the monkeys. Definitely try the homemade curry, it is really good!

Best place I stayed in Sri Lanka and the food was the best I had in Sri Lanka too (and I had a lot of good food). Stay here and tell your friends!

The hostel is highly recommendable. Very clean and the stuff is very kind. The homemade dinner was very delicious. I was only dissapointed that at the end we had to pay more than negociated in advance. Still i can recommend this guesthouse.

This was an unexpectedly beautiful homestay that we came across. The hospitality and assistance of our host family went above and beyond, with all manner of needs catered for. The location was excellent and blissfully easy to get around the lake and into town on foot. They cooked up some divine curries in the evenings and breakfast was always an enormous spread but incredibly good value for money.

This homestay is fantastic!!! The location is perfect to visit the infamous Kandy temple and the centre of town. The family who runs the place are extremely helpful and friendly. 26D is crisp clean and comfortable!! Definetely the best place in Kandy and even the whole of Sri Lanka!! also, we are really proud to be the first guests to stay there through hostelworld!
