Never choose the room in the roof. It's horrible. The rest of the hostel is nice. Be careful when arriving to the hostel because there's no name at the door!!

This laidback hostel in the more quiet part of old town Dali has a very nice atmosphere and provides free internet connection, a cosy bar, very helpful staff and a great roof terrace with panorama view. We would definately choose this hostel again, should we return to Dali!

I was given a room on the roof which didn't look like anything shown when I booked. That was the price I booked at. The room was an attic right under the roof so it was a cauldron in the afternoon and safety is not a consideration as one had to leave the doors and windows open for any air at all. It was concrete floors with a bed on a raised slab off the floor. After the first meter, a man wouldn't have headroom enough to stand up. What they did was show a 150Chinese Yuan room for 30 yuan
