We found out that any key from any other room will open your dorm. Not only that, but the dorms do not automatically lock when they close (only lock when user intentionally locks door from outside). The lock on my safe could open with any chiseled object turned in the slot. When I brought this to the attention of the staff on the first day, it was taken note of, but no action taken, nor was I given a new safe to use (room 305, bed 14).

Very Bad hostel. not recommended

Lockers to fit backpack/suitcase would increase score for security. A shelf for clothes/toiletries in showers would increase score for facilities. Staff weren't forthcoming with information or happy looking. Breakfast was good,

They got everything you'd expect from a decent hostel, no more no less.

We stayed on the second floor and there was almost no Wifi reception. It only works if you are on the first floor of the hostel. Other than that, everything was very good. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. One frustrating thing was that we had to buzz to get OUT of the hostel as well which was a problem when staff happened to be away from the desk (which happened often in our 2 day stay). I would recommend it based on its location.

The hostel is an old building but lift is available for transpoting the lucggage. Staff at front desk and for preparing the breakfast are friendly and helpful. Wifi is limited to common area and hardly received in bed room.

I had booked for a female dormitory but they put me in a mixed dormitory. It was not comfortable enough. Some guests made noise at 11 pm.

Good hostel with clean, slightly cramped rooms. Not enough power points in rooms for everybody. Bathrooms were clean. Location was good. Free breakfast and wifi also good.

I'm not happy with the small lockers, sometimes with broken locks, on the 6-Bed mixed room in the NO NAME City Hostel. I have stayed in many hostels already around the world and I can compare. There are better hostels out there that have big, spacious lockers. Security for my personal stuff is important to me. If my single standard, medium size backpack or travel bag cannot fit in the locker, then it's not a good locker for me. I would prefer to stay in another hostel with big, spacious lockers.

There are just 2 things I need hostel for: to sleep and to have filling breakfast. I couldn't sleep there at all. Too hot in the room. No air conditioning. It smelled bad. The window had too be opened all night but it didn't help and the nights were nightmare..No choice 4 breakfast! No ham or cheese - just toasts & sweet rolls, coffee & tea..Thought I was in Spain - hot chocolate? No and uncomfortable showers - no privacy, nowhere to hang cloths and staff wasn't very helpful when asked 4 invoice

Would recommend nothing except the good location

Seriously, the hostel is not what I expected from reading the comments here in Hostelworld: - No individual lamps in the room - Breakfast included is almost lame, - The location is great but the first floor of the hostel smells really bad sometimes - No cold-water shower so if you walk in the sun for hours and want to take a shower after that, no chance to do it. - There were some people actually living (more than six months) in my room. It was just kind of weird.

The cleanliness of the bathrooms was very poor although they are new and modern! But apart from that it was quite clean, like the kitchen... The staff was very kind and helpful and the location is perfect to make sightseeing as well as to go out. Overall i recomend this hostel a lot!

This hostel was very near the plaza mayor and puerta del sol, but was not too nuch in the center of things so at night you could get a good nights sleep there. Everything was very clean and the showers were hot, as well. Definitely would stay again.

I had a good time there. The internet was a little spotty, but there were lots of activities every day. I had a whole room to myself, so it was almost like a hotel room. The kitchen wasn't near the common area, it was on a completely different floor; which seemed strange to me. I would still go back in a heartbeat! Much better than the other Madrid hostel I have stayed at.
