Staff was very unfriendly during the check-in and check-out process. We dealt with two DIFFERENT people each time, and both of them seemed to be put out.

Noah's Bondi Hostel is just fine. The atmosphere there might remind some vintage film viewers of the black and white war film "Stalag 17", but remember, you came to surf! Westwood Shopping Center is huge and formidably useful for any and everything; also the Event Cinema multiplex is first rate-plus (A+); and - wow - everything you could and should want in a library is at the excellent Waverly Library, open 9:30 am to 9:00 pm most days - all just up the hill at Bondi Junction

It was two horrible nights, as the room was very stinky that it was hard to sleep and we had three rude and loud roommates who didn't let us have a good night sleep for both two nights.

Unfortunately a hostel where you have to tie everything down or lock it up so it doesn't get stolen. Staff during day are just doing their jobs - any more help you require, they aren't forthcoming. Guy at night is alright though - keeps people in line but still friendly. Wicked location, most of the other travelers are really lovely. It's a hostel, so you pay for just the room - there really are no extras. They could use new mattresses though as the one I slept in had a spring through it.

Dirty and small rooms, only one bathroom without a proper basin or a mirror for several rooms, I probably got bedbugs cause I had not before in my house, rude staff, no storage room, expensive..what else??

Staff were great as we needed to move rooms after the first night after a bad night's sleep due to another hostel guest in our room and they did this without questions or hassle which was brilliant. The Kitchen, although when cleaned, was fine, got dirty very quickly so it could maybe benefit from more frequent cleans or tougher measures on those who didn't keep it clean. TV room is really good. As is the roof terrace. Toilets and showers were fine, and cleaned very effectively.
