You get what you pay for. Good things: the host is a really kind lady, that takes her time to suggest you places to visit. Besides that, you get one bathroom for each room, so if you rent the whole room with your friends, you will have your own bathroom (which was actually big and clean). Bad things: I would say that anything, since the idea of going to Florence is to spend as much time as you kind in discovering the city.

The location was excellent!

NO WIFI, although the cafe down the street has it. TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED even though it says so online, upon realization the owner gave us some for free though. The owner is very sweet and speaks good English. Finding it at first was a slightly difficult, but once you've found it, it is super easy to navigate around and back to the rest of the city. Could use a bit more lighting in the bedrooms/bathrooms, but overall with it you get what you pay for.

Wifi wasn't working, but otherwise everything else was great!

It is an old appartment, only three rooms, borring atmosphere and the Internet didn't work. The location is good though.

When we got there we were amazed at just how central the Afossi Hostel House really is. Unfortunately we were late for our reservation due to construction but Marta was waiting for us and was very understanding. She upgraded our room free of charge so that we had our own private bathroom and the linens on the bed were clean and comfortable. She also provided us with a map and told us where all of the sites were. If I were to come back to Florence, I would definitely consider staying here again!
