Nomad Guesthouse and Hostel Reviews

We spent 3 nights with our 2 children at Nomad GH and we absolutely loved it, so has the kids! Peter and Changwei, the owners, are delightful and make you feel at home right from the beginning. The place has a chilled out atmosphere and being in Shuhe rather then Lijiang, it attracts people who are seeking peace rather then party. The GH is set on a very nice courtyard ( kids loved the turtle), tibetan style. The place and the rooms are spotless and comfortable. The restaurant has amazing food.

We could have cancelled the rest of our trip and stayed at Nomad. We felt like we were staying with friends - Peter and his wonderful team couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Shuhe, with great company and great food!

Is there a better rate than "Excelent" concerning the staff and the atmosphere? Peter, his wife, and more globaly all the staff are doing an excellent Job in a perfect environment! After 2 hours in Nomad, the feeling is clearly: "I should stay here for the hole hollidays" Thank you, this was the best I got for a very long time.

Peiter and his staff treated me to an excellent stay in Shuhe. The rooms are very clean, well styled and comfortable. Facilities are in excelllent condition and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. Great music, travel library and coffeehouse. The staff is very accommodating when planning day trips, ticket booking and they offer knowledgeable travel advice. The shared vegetarian meals are a must. Thanks for a memorable stay. Jade

One of the best places I have stayed. Staff were excellent, food was fantastic, the toilet was very nice.

Warm and welcoming staff who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Beautifully decorated place, the courtyard and reading rooms are especially wonderful for a relaxing.

Nomad guesthouse is a reason itself for going to Lijiang. Warm and helpful staff, cosy and clean rooms and common areas (including a big outdoor area, tv room and meditaton room). The restaurant also have great vegetarian food. Best guesthouse i`ve stayed at.

We had the most awesome time in Shuhe, the location is just pefect and so much nicer and calmer than Dayan, even though we were a bit surprised to find ourselves so far away from Lijiang\'s city center. We love Shuhe and Nomad, thanks to Peter and the girls for helping us out with everything we needed and having created such a great place! The Tibetan style of the guesthouse, the porch in front of our room, and Peter\'s welcoming personality made our stay here the best part of our trip through China. Keep

What an awesome little place. The rooms were just clean and average, but the hostel's got such character! Beautiful little courtyard in nice picturesque Shuhe, and the nicest staff on the planet. We were there for Chinese New Year and actually were invited to take part in their (truly) delicious vegetarian New Year feast. The three of us and a bunch of other travelers ate together with all the staff, and it truly felt like family. The whole stay was characterized by that welcoming attitude.

After traveling around much of Asia for three months, my friend and I agreed that Nomad was our favorite place we stayed. It was a beautiful house with amazing vegetarian food and such a friendly and helpful staff. To me it is a perfect guest house! Good job guys! Keep up the great work
