It isn't the best hostel I've been so far, but for a few nights it's ok. The breakfast isn't good, you almost need to hunt the food in there, many people eating and lefting things all over the place.

This hostel was great as it was only a 10 min walk to the main centre. It offers free breakfast and the staff were friendly. Just a tip, the closest station is Queens Street and not Cardiff Central. The hostel is located one street after the Mercure if you're coming from the station.

The rooms were fairly clean but the bathrooms weren't, and there weren't enough showers for the amount of people staying (1 per floor, and the room with the shower also has a toilet and sink so it's insanely busy in the mornings). Overall it wasn't terrible, but I would explore other options in the future

Staff were excellent , room basic but as you would expect for the cost, everything very clean. It was, however, a bit inconvenient for me as I'd chosen this accommodation based on their being on site parking

Could hear the generator all night long. But still a good stay.

The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were friendly. Negatives -quite a few. 1. There were nowhere near enough showers and toilets for the number of beds/guests. - people were queuing! 2. There was only cold water to shower with the morning I stayed there ( I was told that this was due to a guest leaving a hot tap on overnight, so I didn't make a song and dance about it). 3. The quality of the foodstuffs available for breakfast was poor.

Good and quite central located. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cleanliness of the rooms could have been better (quite dusty). Lower bunk bed were really, really low and you had to be really careful not to hit your head. Breakfast was included and quite basis. Nevertheless you got a good choice of cornflakes, toast and jams. Good entertainment in all common rooms (TVs, PC, chill out area). Overall a very pleasant place =).

A little off the beaten path, but in a quiet neighborhood. Staff didn't know too much about the area however Cardiff is easy enough to explore. Can't beat this place for the price!

The shower flooded as soon as the water was turned on, making it impossible not to get the entire floor wet. The room was very crowded and not comfortable for lounging outside of sleeping.

Location was good. Approx 20-30 min walk away from Cardiff Central station. Less than 10 minutes to the big shopping centre nearby. Street was covered in rubbish on the day I arrived but was gone by the day after and I think the city actually washed the footpath it was so much cleaner. Security was good, needing to buzz to enter through the front door. Only complaint was that the lock on the door was busted and wouldn't shut. Overall great atmosphere and plenty of showers etc for everyone.

The Nomad was a great little hostel in Wales' capital :) Tucked away from the bustle of the inner town, it is still in quite a good location--a 5 minute train ride from the Bay and a short walk from many shops and pubs. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, and the building itself was lively and vibrant.

The staff was very friendly, location was also good. Costs for parking more then mentioned on the website. Only one bathroom / shower and one additional toilet on the whole first floor. It was not our standard of cleanliness. Very loud around 5 in the morning (people slamming doors for hours). The beds were not comfortable. Kitchen: poorly equipped for so many people. Good if you work in Cardiff and look for a temporary place. NOT for vacation.

The staff here truly make it a great, safe, welcoming place to be. The front door is locked at all times and must be opened by a member of staff (one of whom is always at the front desk) to ensure a high level of security. The in-room lockers are a bit small (some of them are too small to fit a laptop) yet they are better than nothing! The cleaning staff were also fantastic and very friendly. As for breakfast, it consists of bread and an assortment of spreads, along with cereals and tea/coffee.

Really close to the city, awesome accommodation. Pretty damn comfy beds! We had a great stay at Nomad! And they replaced the shower curtains! Listening to the feedback obviously! Great job Nomad!

Nice common areas with a free-to-use computer terminal. Beds are comfortable, atmosphere is cool. Staff wasn't the most helpful. Shower tended to drain very slowly, leaving me standing in an inch of soapy water for the duration.

A great place to stay for a couple nights. Individual (very small) lockers are available in the rooms, and breakfast was fine- toast, cereal, jams and chocolate spread.

I was happy overall with my stay. A tiny bit far from the centre of town but still easily walkable in 15-20 minutes. Staff were really pleasant and helpful and good value for money. Only suggestion I have for improvement was there wasn't anything in the breakfast for gluten intolerant guests. Just some fruit or yoghurt would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :-)

The quality isn't that bad, but there's a huge problem concerning the noise. You can actually listen to what the neighbours are talking about. I slept in a bedroom situated next to the entrance and the main hall. Which means I couldn't avoid the sound of the ringbell during the night. Also, I found the shower quiet dirty. However, the kitchen is nice and the breakfast is ok. So avoid it if you're looking for a quiet place to stay in.

3 'old' friends found this hostel excellent for the purpose of staying one night, having a quick look at Cardiff, then moving on to Pembrokeshire.
