Cheap and cheerful but don't expect (m)any frills. Not very comfortable bed in the single room the light didn't work. There were far too few showers so expect to queue. And the one I used had some mould in it. The staff however were very friendly and helpful.

Nice place in a good location, i just wish security was slightly better in a hostel, especially if you are carrying valuables.

Location is decent. Didn't feel quite safe when walking from the city centre to it at night. Bathrooms are dimly lit, a bit shoddy. Rooms are good, common room is quite small.

It took me a little-while to find hostel without map; not to mention local people don't know their own area = scary!!! ;) Anyway, lovely hostel with cozy atmosphere, and kitchen where you can prepare own food. Only thing I didn't like - this would be little negative comment = room/s are little smelly (windows should be with bigger opening capacity).

Unclean bathrooms, not a lot of atmosphere, character or fun.

We arrived at the time we said and were given our room. We then went looking around Cardiff and received a phone call to say they had given us the wrong room and they had already moved all our stuff without ringing us first. We had already unpacked a lot of stuff. When we got to our new room, there were pubes all over one mattress. The bathrooms weren't very clean either

The place has bath tubs..but bring your own sink plug/drain plug/bathtub stopper(?) because they don't provide them. Guest take them away with them..so the staff says.... If you don't have one go the the poundland outlet in the city centre to look for one.

the 12 dorm room is very cramped, like everyone already mentioned. But it is even beyond my expectations..I couldn't walk in between the bunks, only ease myself sideways when I for example needed the electric outlets (which were very sparse by the way) and there was very little room to put something on the floor, so I ended up sleeping with half my belongings in the luggage room every night and sleeping with all the other stuff in my bed. Can you imagine that? I guess they are just being greedy.

Very Dirty and security was shocking. Though great location. Staff were ok not a place for socialising but good enough to crash. Slightly higher priced than the best hostel in Bristol..explain

The staff were helpful and provided hairdryer and iron on request. French kids running around banging on each other's doors weren't so welcome. I found the bed a bit uncomfortable, although I was glad it wasn't a bunk in the 3 person room we shared. Water seemed to gather in the shared bathroom near the doorway which wasn't great.

The beds were a bit wobbly and noisy, and there were maybe a little too many beds in the room (not much space to store luggage etc); the rest was ok.

I really enjoyed this hostel. They were very helpful in finding things around the city. The common space was nice and always filled with friendly faces.
