This hostel is a little more expensive than others in San Jose, but it's in a nice neighborhood and it feels a lot safer. There is no barbed wire on the fences or bars on the windows. The family that lives here is very nice. Be sure to tell them what time you're arriving because the boys won't let you in unless the parents are home (as they shouldn't). They are very clean and accommodating. Gabriel will pick you up or drive you to the airport anytime day or night in his personal vehicle. Towels!

Very friendly owner, gave us a very detailed travel advice. Hostel is clean and beds are good. Only disadvantage for couples is that the hostel only has bunk beds. Rest was perfect.

A really nice hostel that feels like a home. Another good thing is that you can be picked up at the airport in the middle of the night. I really recommend this place.
