Come on guys, you very simply need to tell clearly that your hostel doesn't allow any alcohol. You won't do that because you understand that quite a few travellers would have gone elsewhere had they known that.

The kitchen was really small and it was hard to find any bowls or spoons. Never seen such a bad equipped kitchen before. On level one there is a direct entrance to a bar which is cool, saves you the entrance fee. Everything was very clean, but not a big fan of unisex bathrooms. Some guys decided to cut their hair in there and it was very disgusting because it was just everywhere and it took ages until it was clean again... but that was probably bad luck while i was there. would recommend it.

Very cheap hostel. Not very good, small rooms with a lot of beds. But a good value for money. And the location is very good

Bit of a noise problem, can't be helped in the city; but with the window shut the dorm was very hot and stuffy. Otherwise, a great budget hostel in an ideal location. Was woken up by a false fire alarm at 2am one night but again, can't really blame the hostel and at least the fire alarms work!

the dorm room 411 was really untidy and dirty. it wasn't clear which beds were used/taken and which ones not. i got bitten by bed bugs several times! the room was way to small, ten beds instead of twelve would be more than enough ! the beds were very uncomfortable.

Defiantly one of the best hostels I've stayed in, great facilities and location although there was a strange smell in the room?

Some dorm rooms are really filthy thanks to long term residents. I booked a 12 bed dorm (dirty as hell) - but there were no beds available, so they upgraded me to an 8 bed dorm which was ok. Staff has always been friendly.

When we arrived we where given a free room upgrade (we booked a 12 bed and got an 8 bed) which was good, how ever the room was tiny! you couldn't open the door when people and bags where in the room and that was with 6 people I would hate to see it full. The kitchen was large enough and seemed well stocked. The hostel itself was clean enough but I found it didn't really have any atmosphere.

Good hostel with good facilities and easy to meet people. But think I was unfortunate with my room, was a 12 bed dorm, was filthy, hot and stuffy. Two girls had complained about bed bugs in bunk opposite mine, I thought they were exaggerating a bit but on my last night I got very badly bitten myself. Also, two people in the dorm had their iphones stolen, CCTV showed it was someone not even staying there. Avoiding Nomads for a while...

Hostel is located in a late-night district. So you will had street noise all night long. Especially if you stay over in weekends.

I think Nomads Auckland is the best hostel Ive ever stayed in. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were big compared to any other hostel Ive ever stayed in! The showers were so clean!

Exceptionally clean and tidy. Only possible complaint would be that the beds were a little creaky.

Stayed here several times while passing through Auckland! Can get the 10/12 bed dorm at a really good rate and not much difference so worth doing! Great location with nice large tv lounge! Good wifi that u can get throughout the hostel and lovely bar attached with great food and drink deals. Can be a little messy depending who is in your room but lots of showers / toilets so always easy to get ready! Lovely staff too - kitchen on rooftop so nice to eat outside, can get a little cramped but ok :)

Excellent location, split over 7 floors so a bit different. Good facilities, everything just seems a little cramped.

Stayed in a deluxe private and was pleasantly surprised with the room. There was a king sized bed, tv.small bathroom. It was noisy but considering the location there's not much you can do. I returned on my own 2 days later and stayed in a 10 bed dorm. I hate to wrongly accuse but I have a lot of bites over me since my stay. I was only away for one weekend and stayed at a friends the night in between. Call me paranoid but I think I may have been bitten by bed bugs, will go to docs soon if worsens

The location is good if being in the city is what your looking for but over this was a decent hostel. I did hear about one of the rooms having bed bugs when I wa staying there.
