Good for the price, not special at all, rooms are pretty small. The firealarm went off twice while I was there once at 6 in the morning! The location is great the bar next door pretty cool and if you are just looking for a cheap, pretty clean place to stay, it is all good!

Room too expensive for travelers Kitchen really too small for the numbers of people staying in the hostel. We couldn't cook because there was no space at all at the evening

There was a room which was allocated for luggage which only had one access key which the hostel reception weren't able to locate at times. When I asked for this key to access the room for my luggage, I had to repeat myself a couple of times to get the message across, then finally when they were able to grasp my simple English, they didn't know where the key was so I had to wait in the lobby until someone 'felt' like returning it to reception. Seriously, you can't duplicate keys or something?

Room had major water damage to one wall & room mate had advised water had been coming into the room the night before. Some staff were really good and friendly and others were impolite & lazy (out smoking whilst we were waiting to check in & we were told to wait) Key card had a lot of issues and was locked out of the room a number of times.

maybe add a parking option to the hostel, that was the main reason we transfered to a diffrent hostel on our last night (after we bought a car)

The staff, for the most part, was helpful and friendly, however, one of the guys who works at the front desk was rude, extremely unhelpful, and never smiled, not a shining example of costumer service. Furthermore, the hostel does not communicate with the guests well at all leading to a large amount of confusion and has no idea when people are checking out. Thus, they over assign rooms and then the guests are all confused and have to basically start from scratch.

Pretty good hostel. It was big, and clean. Rooms are clean, and security is good. Bathrooms on the weekend are nasty, two nights it looked like someone had died in the stalls... Staff was great, and laid back. It's reaaaally noisy on the weekend nights, but not much they could do about that. But, overall, it was a good stay, I'd reccomend it.

The location of the accomodation is fine. The front of house staff were not very helpful at all, bordering on rude at some times !

Beds are extemely squeaky so if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Great central location if you want to be in the heart of Auckland.

The room itself is tiny, although it looked pretty clean. Unfortunately we spied a few roaches running around throughout our stay so perhaps it wasn't as clean as it seemed. There was also an extra bunk bed above the double bed which was quite annoying because we were constantly bumping our heads on it. Kitchen though, far too small for a hostel this size. Good luck trying to find storage space in the fridge or shelves for your food.

staff not so nice and helpful kitchen dirty and not enough cooking stuff for everybody no wifi in private room awful bed for a private bedroom at 90 dollars per night (you can have 4 stars hotel in center for 120 dollars/night) washing machine and dryer from prehistoric time ( so you pay 4 dollars for a dryer and your stuff is more wet than when you put it) I forgot the water in the hot tub was green... DONT GO THERE!!!

Only stayed one night before my early flight out of Auckland. It was a good stay. Much better then the other hostel I stayed at in Auckland. The courtyard bar and pizza restaurant is a real bonus and the rooftop kitchen...fabulous. I wish I had stayed there instead of the other place.
