Great hostel. Clean, friendly staff and vibe. Great location. Much better than Base Auckland.

It was a great experience to stay in a hostel like this one. Nearby to everything we need. Nice people and facilities.

Some staff members were very unfriendly. The security was below par, there was one situation when some guy from the street wandered into the hostel and into someone's open room. The second level corridor lock did not work. Location was great. Is you are a light sleeper this place is a bit noisy.

The noise from the first-level club was unbearable. I was on the 6th floor with earplugs on and was unable to sleep until 3:30am. Paying customers should be warned about the music.....

This hostel was good, good location, nice rooftop kitchen and eating area. No free wifi, and some staff were a bit useless while others were great.

free instant coffee packets from reception, no free milk, no cups in kitchen. good to get $5 pints from bar (second cheapest beer in NZ)

Fairly generic for a hostel, but efficiently run.

Good place to stay if you need a rest. Great computer room and balcony on the roof! It was unusually hot in Auckland when I stayed, so the rooms were like ovens, but on a normal New Zealand day it would be just fine. Only major downside is no alcohol allowed in the hostel because there is a bar attached.

Nomads was conveniently located downtown, a short walk from the airport shuttle. It is close to restaurants and the sights of Auckland. The staff was very helpful. The only bad part was the food truck outside the hotel that blasted music all night long. It made it impossible to sleep, but the hostel has no control over this.

Good hostel for location and meeting people! Watch out for really squeaky beds and rooms with no windows!

I really enjoyed my stay at Nomads, and I would recommend it to other travellers in the future. The staff were friendly and so were the guests. The bunk bed in room 518 is falling apart, though! The side rails are breaking off! :S It was really hot when we were staying there, so it would be good to have some fans or air-conditioning in the rooms.

I liked that there was a real bar connected to it with $5 drinks.

Great hostel to stay in if you don't mind it a bit loud. Good rooms, clean sheets etc, very good toilet / shower facilities. Will definitely use again when next in Auckland.

Lots of long time stays but overall a good vibe. Warning the bar next door is loud on the weekends but they give out ear plugs.

Then staff member who checked me in was more interested in texting or chatting to a co-worker than checking me in. I had no pillow, the room was untidy and impossible to get from one side to the other. The room was above the MAD bar.
