Too much party for me, I guess. Plus the kitchen is a mess.

Really good atmosphere, I liked how friendly everyone was. The travel centre was also super helpful.

It was nice for being such a large hostel. They had a nice clean kitchen area with a roof deck, and a hot tub. The bar area was really nice as well. Make sure you book online before you go, it is more expensive if you just show up.

Not a bad hostel all round, but the magnetic security cards are a pain when they randomly stop working, even though I had not put it in my pocket. Had to wait ages to go down in the lift with shower stuff and then queue at reception also. Nice idea, but these cards are often so much hassle. VERY noisy all night until 4am also outside with all the bars in the city. Otherwise the actual hostel itself was nice.

It's a very good hostel in a great location & it's not over-priced. I stay here every time I go the Big Day Out & other concerts.

It is HUGE. I found it hard to meet people despite my best efforts, there are a lot of people living there and working in Auckland who seemed to have created a bit of an impenetrable clique. I thought the facilities were good but very expensive e.g. laundry and internet, but the bathrooms were really nice and clean with hot powerful showers. The dorm room was nice enough even if it did have a distinct smell of feet, although that could have been due to my bunk neighbor.

Overall, this hostel is good value for money, with good amenities and a great location. The second time I stayed here one of the toilets was leaking and the area needed cleaning, but in general the hostel is clean. The lack of window/air in the budget twin room is a bit of an issue, but the ensuite bathroom was great. I suppose you get what you pay for!

Didn't feel very safe on friday and saturday nights, was staying on a girls only floor and there were drunk guys running up and down the corridor shouting and using the toilets without the door locked. Wasn't enough fridge space.

Staff had no idea what they were doing, very rude and unhelpful. Poor room, payed for the most expensive room but instead got a small cramped room with no window, very uncomfortable beds and very nosiey. I have stayed in better and cheaper rooms when I was with my school. Over all very poor experience. Location however was perfect, the only reason we decided to stay. VERY expensive for what we received.

After staying at a Nomads hostel in Melbourne and hating it I was reluctant in staying at another hostel from the chain. However since I was only staying one night and the rate was cheap I thought I would stay the night. It was actually better than I thought it would be. The bathrooms had a lot of space and the facilities were clean. The kitchen was a bit small but at least there is an outdoor balcony. The location is on the main street as well right in the center close to everything.

Overall the place was ok - neither great mor terrible. One thing was that the rooms without windows had no ventilation or fans/ air con and as such were like staying in ovens!

Not good for family stay. Very dirty atmosphere. Private rooms are very small. Towels and beds dirty. Will not recommend this hotel at all.
