we booked a 6 bed dorm but when we got to hostel we were being put into six seperate rooms!! sort out your booking options so when you're booking a 6 bed dorm you get a six bed dorm and not 6 seperate beds in 6 seperate rooms. beds so noisy too!! and very few plugs in the room.

I really hated the bathrooms, I never once walked in when they could have been described as clean

I spend i very bad time in the nomads backpack, is not good when you have just a few days for visit the city and you cant sleep because there is a party in the room. I really dont like that!!!, i dont pay a accomodation for have the party in the room I pay for sleep, and the people dosent have respect. The bar was good but the problem is the rooms!!, hope you can change that but me i never came back.

First place I checked into upon arriving in NZ. Staff are great, facilities are good, and clean. Sure it can get noisy at weekends out in the street but who cares? It's a hostel! The rooftop and kitchen level are kept clean and are great to spend time. Big drawers under the beds mean loads of space to keep valuables locked up, just bring a padlock of course. Highly reccommend staying here.

Bathrooms and Kitchen never cleaned properly. No cutlery or cups available for use. Only 1 lift for 7 floors which is never available due to cleaners / deliveries. Common area not big enough for the amount of guests. Bunk Beds cheap and make too much noise. 4 bunks squeezed into a small room, no space for luggage and no secure lockers available. Luggage storage room tiny.

Shame the prices were up for the world cup (I couldn't choose when I was visiting) but otherwise a great place to stay. Bigger kitchen area would be useful.

If you are checking in and want some good sleep, ask not to stay in room 210. This room (& I presume the same one on other floors) shares a wall with 2 hand driers & a hair drier in the unisex bathroom that sounds like an angle grinder or train passing by ur head everytime some1 washes their hands. Other than that the club outside the window will keep you up all night so plan2take use of the central location and party for as long as you can. Got vouchers for pub&burger joint nextdoor was nice to

Cool bar! The dorms were good though the rooms are small. It's located in the city center, so can have some great nights in the bars and clubs around the hostel. It has a very good value and I can recommend it especially to young backpackers who like to party. Parking is really expensive in the hole area if you think about a rental car in Auckland. I will stay in this hostel again next time!

all around it was a good hostel to stay at.....only thing that i was definately not pleased with was that after a night of partying we came back to our room and some1 was in our bed.....so security is not good in that aspect

I had the best time staying at this hostel while traveling through New Zealand. The staff was great and I met many new friends from all over the world that were my age. Worth staying at Nomads :)

Big hostel, so not much personallity, but great location and good facilities. Bar on first floor (Fort street union) is great and serves good food and beer.

The kitchen was a little bit to small, for this many people and its on the 7 floor, no problems if the elevator would work much better. Otherwise i would love to come back to the Hostel, it was a nice time over there.

Very nice hostel, in great location. Clean throughout and good security. Only problem I had was knowing which bed was free in my dorm because they had already been made. Good hostel though would recommend to stay there for anyone.
