Convenient area close by the ferry dock, bus station and airport shuttle buses! The staff weren't very helpful with directions to places around town so be prepared. Security on for 24 hours but seems like anyone can walk in and out. There was also a party going on at the bar next door, with music and people screaming all night. Other than that, everything is quite good for a night's stay in town.

Good location. Right on Fort Street so right by bars. 5 minute walk to waterfront. Airport bus drops you off right by hostel. Great tv room, kitchen has great view of city and a very social outdoor patio great if you're wanting to meet people. Cool bar downstairs and big rooms.

Nothing special but it was located down near the harbour, so close to lots.

This was a great place to stay in a very active central part of Auckland. Don't be surprised if it is noisy outside the windows until late. Very clean, friendly and secure.

Decent hostel, clean, top location,be prepared to put in earplugs on the weekend as the noise from the bar door is pretty bad, more for a younger crowd,

I do not find funny the "joke" about not recycling and write on the bin "keep NZ green". The enviorment is something serius to be cared about. The liquor ban and no drugs areas did not seem a problem not to be respected, maybe the enviorment could be something to respect then.

The kitchen is really small for the amount of people staying in the hostel. The boxes underneath beds are great!
