The loudest hotel I've ever stayed, really ! Paid for 4 nights, after the first night they told me that i have to move into another room, check out at 10:00am and new room at 02:00 pm! no explanations and no money refound (or discount) 4 hours like an idiot in the hall with my luggage.

The carpets smelt of goon. I don't mind drinking in the rooms but maybe air out the rooms toilets ans bathrooms a bit. It's not nice when everything smells of goon... Maybe encourage people to drink more in the common room by getting comfy couches play chilled music or something. But still loved the place good effort and nice staff.

It's a bit to noisy for me, hard to sleep when you hear every sound from the hallway. Parties every night, fun but also disturbing if you're not partying. The staff was friendly and they have a good deal if you're staying for more than 2 weeks and want to work for free accommodation.

The location of the hostel is excellent - only about 7-8 minute walk to the supermarket and about the same distance to the beach. The showers were lovely and clean, however I didn't enjoy the shared toilets and quite often they were unclean and didn't smell great. The rooms are spacious and it is great having a small balcony outside your room. Although the kitchens look lovely and new they are awkward to cook in, with not enough surface space. Two of the fridges were also out of order.

Nomads is a bit more expensive than other hostels in the area, but it i the only one with air conditioning so we figured it was worth paying the extra money. However, come time to go to bed, we learned that our aircon was broken (go figure right?). It was a pretty big bummer, especially since the room was a sauna otherwise and the staff did nothing to remedy the situation (other than say the F word a few times). I would have stayed somewhere else. Otherwise, this hostel was ok, but noisy

This is a fun-loving hostel with a great party atmosphere. I found the staff were particularly enthusiastic and keen to get everyone involved. The hostel has a great location and is a stones through away from the beach as well as all the town centre facilities. The lockers in the room were a bonus and I thought the outside area with the jacuzzis was nice. In general everything was clean and the toilets, kitchen, showers, and bedrooms were all nice.

It is a huge commercial bunk factory full of cameras. On my arrival on a hot day I was given a room with AC not working. Others in the room said they roasted last night. Somehow I was moved to another room.Next, the kitchen is too small given the number of bunks this hostel has. People wrestle with each other to cook at peak hours. Also to get a mug I had to pay $5 deposit. I got a chipped mug which was stolen. As result my deposit was confiscated. Cost of a new mug like that is $1 everywhere.

Stayed here for two nights in a 6 share female dorm. The room was clean and spacious. The lockers were tiny and only enough space to lock away key things like passport, money etc. The bathroom was clean and showers warm. The kitchen was clea. And space to cook however the fridges weren't cold so most of the things in there were warm or soft which was would be a nightmare if stayin longer. Overall it was nice.

Fantastic location - in town and minutes from the beach. Not sure they like to see people with 'grey hair' - we got a few odd looks from some of the staff and dismissive attitude from one in particular. If Nomads dont want anyone over 25 in the hostel they should make it clear!!

Definately a party hostel. I was travelling by myself and I met loads of people. However, the one night I did want to go to bed early, there was a party in my room which technically is not allowed. Rooms and bathrooms are clean as well. Toliets are unisex so I sometimes stumbled onto a guy taking a pee which was alarming for both of us. They don't advertise that you have to hire mugs for a 5 dollar deposit. I found this a little cheap considering they pride themselves on partying when I arrived.

Hostel was clean and well-equipped, and located right near te beach and the main street. It was very secure, with lockers and a door policy of showing your room key and ID after 11pm. There were no free extras (breakfast, tea and coffee, etc), and there was an incredibly rowdy element made up mainly of staff that made staying in the common room beyond a certain time of night impossible if you valued your eardrums and possessions. A good hostel, but the 'atmosphere' could do with managing.

The hostel is in a good location and is very clean. The activities the hostel puts on and the facilities provided are great. The only thing that let the hostel down was that some of the staff had no idea with how to help when the air con in our room broke and weren't very helpful if you had any questions or required advice with staff often contradicting each other. That said I would stay there again.

it's more like a YHA-styled nomads while you can still enjoy the party atmosphere. Rooms are cleans with a nice balcony. Location is good, in walking distance to the greyhound station and beach. Staffs are friendly, and also easy to make new friends here!

My friend & I live on the gold coast but always come to Nomads in Byron for a weekend getaway. Nomads is wicked, definitely the best place to stay the location is within a 1 minute walk to the beach and the nightlife. Would recommend to everyone and anyone!

A great place to party and meet people. Not a great place to chill and have a good nights sleep. Night time security is good.
