The hostel staff was very friendly, taking the initiative to make sure traveller's were having a good time. Ex: Compete in a free soccer match at a local field and receive free beer. Activities such as Pub Crawl was a great success with plenty of participants. Over all a good experience.

This was the best experience for me to stay in hostels in Australia. However, when I made the booking at the first time @ hostelworld, the lower quality of living standard may be expected. Some feedbacks on google maps reviewed that the room was dirty and the staffs are not helpful. After I moved into this hostel, I found that the receptions were excellent. At the same time, the side effects are obvious, there was a little bit noisy in the mid-night till 3:30 am, but it was not a big deal.

hostel was nice, was bit out of way for walking distance but they do offer free lift into town which is good, only downfall was they were late to pick up and dont offer all the times available they say they do. Air conditioning in rooms is bad aswell, two rooms we stayed in had broken air con, not good when its so hot at night, this was one of the reasons we left.

Nice, clean hostel with good rooms and a large communal set up downstairs. Only problem is its location, a little far out of Cairns central district.

Have stayed in many hostels in Australia, I would consider this hostel to be the best I have stayed in! Hostel was a little outside the city centre but the hostel bus every hour was great! Loved the bar and the pool! Big thanks to all the staff who were ace! Anyone looking for a fun, easy going hostel should defo come and check this place out. I cant wait to go back!

Very good pick up airport service and huge swimming pool. Very bad air-con out of order in most of the rooms. Too early breakfast time.

I only stayed one night but next time I am in Cairns I shall be making a beeline for this hostel. Really clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very reasonable (you can't get more reasonable than a free breakfast!) and tastier than I've had in some posh restaurants. The location was ideal for me, however I appreciate that some travellers aren't keen on a leisurely stroll to the town centre or waiting for the free shuttle bus!

Miserable staff made the whole experience very depressing, as did the fact that we had a bag of food stolen... after reporting this to the staff, they couldn't care less
