Its the kind of hostel that does anything to take money from you. 3 dollars just to keep your lugagge? thats absolutely ridiculous. specially if u have to move out because the hostel is fully booked and u r going back on the next day. Internet expensive. And the beds shake so much that u can think its an earthquake. Its really hard to sleep on them. BUT one of the members of the staff was great. I dont know her name, but she is there most of the time.

An unbeatable location between cuba st. and the civic center, well-designed facilities and general spotlessness make it a great starting point for a hostel. On the other hand, half the bunk beds look on the verge of collapse, none of the 4 different showers I tried drained (at all) and significant portions of their hostelworld description is flat wrong (they don't give you the online rate if you extend your stay, the "meal" is so small te ticket even says "snack", and the "free wifi" costs $8!)

I booked this hostel because it is listed as having free internet access. This is blatant FALSE ADVERTISING as when I checked in I was told the wifi is $4 per hour! I am not happy that this hostel got my money by LYING in their hostelworld decription (I contacted hostelworld about this and they never got back to me). The other problem is that the beds are very squeeky and any time someone moves it wakes up the whole dorm. the location is good but they need to fix these issues immediately.

hotel was ok but the kitchen and the living room were way to small for so many people. the kitchen does not allow more than 2 or 3 people at the same time to cook. staff at the hotel just ok. People at the lobby were ok but people doing cleaning were very not well behave by coming and waking up people by 9am for a check-out at 10am. By 9.55am they getin the room and start the cleaning, no matter if you re in or not. Happened twice on 2 different levels of the hotel. Shower were clean and handy.

Had a comfortable stay albeit the squeaky bunk bed. My poor roommates had to endure the squeaks made with every little twitch (and I mean twitch) throughout the night. Other than that, great location, clean place and friendly staff. Thank you! (I was at Room 101 btw.)

Good hostel to stay at which is walking distance to anywhere you want to visit in the city. Steve at reception is a top bloke and I found him to be very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. I would stay at Nomads in Wellington again.

Arrived on Christmas Day from my hometown of Melbourne, Aus. Naturally, the town was completely dead but the good folk of Nomad put on a great complimentary bbq dinner. The quality of service from staff was as good as anywhere in the world. Highly recommend.

Noisy hostel when staying on the first floor. I could hear the bar downstairs.

In a great location. The kitchen is tiny for the amount of people who stay there, and there is not enough fridge space. The beds are extremely noisy and it's a dry hostel, so no alcohol allowed. Having said all that, you need you key card to get in to the various corridors of the hostel, so it's a very safe place and there is a connecting bar.

Please so not advertise the bar so heavily then close it for private function. Also the beds are very loud so any movement makes a sound which wakes up the whole room. The kitchen and lounge are a bit pokey for such a big hostel

The bunk beds were wayyyy too squeeky and it was hard to get to sleep cuz if anybody moved there was a lot of noise. I didn't get an 'evening snack' as the website mentioned. They said at reception that they were out of it. The staff didn't know how much i had paid online and they overcharged me 3 dollars, no big deal, but still, poor service! Internet is too expensive, 4 dollars per hour?! 8 dollars per day is... 'ok' but when you don't need that... it feels too expensive.

Standard hostel. Good for younger crowd (I'm 29) as the bar is a bit loud but it's OK. Location could not have been better.

I arrived, tired after a loooong journey and not feeling great, stood at reception for several minutes, directly in front of someone, who ignored me - didn't so much as acknowledge me, while she did something else. Fine she had to finish a job before checking me in, but it would have been nice to have at least an acknowledgement of my presence!! Not all the staff are terrible - the new guy was very helpful and friendly. Facilities average, bunks weirdly high, security average, great location.

$3(Guest)/$5(Non-Guest) for Luggage Storage, Free meals between 6-7pm Opinion: Only stayed there for one night, arriving around 7pm and leaving in the morning to check into the YHA. Can't comment much more but seems to be more for the fun, partying crowd.
