i really enjoyed my stay in this place the place is beautiful! and i was very fortunate to have very good room mates. The staff was ok. The a/c didn't work well for a couple of days but it got fixed. i said it is one of the best dorms in Koh Tao! a magic place.

A nice place to stay for a night if you fancy affording a small bit of luxury. I would say its overpriced for what you get which is a mixed dorm and a shared bathroom. Same as any other hostel but just on the beach. There are much cheaper places with exactly the same facilities.

Great hostel but if you want to scuba the dive operation in the hotel does the hard up $ell. If you are an experienced diver I would look elsewhere for diving. Great for new divers though. Enjoy.

absolutely not worth staying at the hostel (nomads). big blue is just up the beach and charges a quarter of the price for better facilities, better diving instructors, better staff, and general value.

I really cannot recommend this hostel: when we arrived at the reception, they didn't believe us that we' ve already paid 10% of the price on the homepage of hostelworld. We had to wait almost one hour until we could check in because of that. Besides the toilets and showers were quite dirty, they didn't clean them every day...and the worst thing: the staff was so unpolite! We had the feeling that they treated resort guests better than the hostel guests...

This is the perfect resort to stay and scuba diving. I love this place. It is also nearby to the market if you are looking to explore some more good restaurant.

I don't know about this one. All in all a great place to stay - clean, close to the beach etc. but the price is a joke.

I only stayed here because a lot of others places were booked up. It is a nice little resort but for the financially concerned traveler it is WAY too much to pay for a dormitory. The curtain over my friends bed fell down as soon as she pulled on it and the showers were average. The front desk staff was very hit or miss whether they would want to help us with things. Nice place if you want to spend the money on a private room, but as a financially driven traveler, this just was not it for me.

Very nice hostel. Good vibe, dorms set up well to meet fellow travellers. Beach bar/restaurant serving a good range of food and drink, and a beautiful location to have a beer and watch the sun set. Wifi coverage, despite advertised as free and available, was poor. This hostel is also almost double the price of others on the island - I only went with it because I couldn't get a room elsewhere for 1 of the nights of my 2 night stay. If you're no scrimping though, go for it

The surprise '100 baht management fee' upon check-in was not cool, and I believe it's against Hostelworld policy... Only once had hot water in 4 days - but not a big deal... Also rumours that the walk-in price was less. Otherwise, the staff were nice and it's a great resort/location - complete with swimming pool, loungers and talking bird on site. It's a shame, as the resort could easily make changes if they were to read/respond to reviews - then the dorm wouldn't be as abandoned.

Enjoyed staying here. The dorm was really good in that you had a big locker to put your backpack in. Also the beds were very comfortable and had a curtain so you could close it when going to sleep and not get disturbed by other peoples lights and moving around. Bathrooms were ok - had a men and womans. The only thing was that there were lots of mosquitos in the bathrooms. Other than that was a really good place to stay.

My stay was good, here was just me and a mate sharing a 10 bed dorm. Still the beach is close and bars and clubs not far either
